Chapter 12 by Vanilla_Wildrush
Let the hunt begin?
The whistle marks the start(Griffin's POV)
Griffin listened to the entirety of the rules and safety. His eyes were glued to Melody, watching her closely. His heart was pounding and he felt the adrenaline flowing through his veins in response to what was to come. He had to take deep breaths to calm himself down and slow down his heart rate. As he listened, a couple of the other predators came up to him and began talking with him.
"Hey man. First time?" One asked.
"Yes." Griffin responded, looking at them.
"It's really fun. We usually try for our partners but sometimes we end up catching someone elses." The other predator laughed a little.
"Well, anything I should know?" Griffin asked as he looked back to Melody, seeing her looking at him.
"Well, if you catch my partner, which is Tia. She's right there...." He pointed to a girl standing, her hair was bright pink and in a ponytail. "She bites. So, be careful."
Griffin chuckled a little and nodded. "Gotcha."
"Also, just don't think. Don't let your mind interfere in anything. Allow yourself to just exist and tap into that primal nature. It's really easy after the first time. On the drive here now, we end up feeling it already. Once you let it out, you'll never want to have it caged again." Another spoke with a smirk.
Griffin nodded slightly. "I gotcha."
A few minutes later, the whistle pierced his ears. He saw all of the prey, his Melody included, take off running into the woods. It didn't take long before their backs disappeared from sight but he could still hear the running and the twigs snapping from them running.
"Here we go." One of the predators said with smirk as he watched.
On Chanelle's signal, all of the predators ran off into the woods. Some were faster than others, knowing the terrain like the back of their hands. Griffin remained in the back of the group, looking around, his eyes searching for Melody and only Melody, but he knew the rules of the game. Whomever he found, he would capture. Griffin watched as the others vaulted over fallen trees with ease. He had never done anything like this, so he began questioning himself, overthinking his own actions. He slowly crawled over a log when another predator, one that he spoke to before the whistle, approached him in a jog.
"Hey. You're doing what I told ya not to. Don't worry. We all did the same thing." The guy panted a little as he spoke to Griffin.
"Any advice?" Griffin asked, looking around.
"Alright. What you wanna do is just empty your mind. Focus on finding your prey. Focus on the run. Focus on the sounds around you and the smells. Get in touch with nature. The connection we all had back in the day but we lost it. You do that and you will definitely quiet that mind of yours." The guy began jogging away. "Good luck!" He called back to Griffin before disappearing between some trees.
Griffin took a deep breath then he nodded slightly. "Alright. Focus. Melody. "
Griffin closed his eyes for a few moments as he worked on calming his racing thoughts. He heard the first scream not long after he started running again. It wasn't Melody. Good thing. He wanted to find her himself. Griffin was careful with his movements at first until he began getting used to the actions, his body was fueled with adrenaline and he began vaulting over fallen logs easier each time. He dodged between trees and headed further into the woods. He smiled widely as he felt his mind going silent except for the focus on Melody and finding her. He heard the next couple of screams, each one wasn't Melody and his heart raced even faster. There were only 2 more left unless someone was captured and was silent. Griffin felt his muscles working like they had never worked before. It's as if he had awakened something in him. His senses were attuned to the world around him and the sounds of nature. He saw the sun setting further and further. He knew the flashlight would prove useful eventually.
Griffin kept running. When he vaulted over another log, he stopped, his eyes falling on the person he saw. He recognized it was Luke, Chanelle's prey, her husband. He was to capture the first one he saw. He felt some disappointment that it wasn't Melody but Luke was attractive and he was a nice prize to capture, so he wasn't entirely disappointed. Griffin, instead of bolting straight for him, he began sneaking up on him, his steps were silent as he carefully placed each foot in front of him, not stepping on anything to cause too much noise. There was still enough light left for him to see what he was doing but he didn't have to think about it. It was natural. His body seemed to move itself and he just watched. Griffin got closer and closer to Luke, sneaking up behind him. He was surprised Luke was just standing there, not running. He didn't seem aware of Griffin though. At the last moment, Griffin tackled Luke from behind, causing him to scream out in surprise. Griffin held him down to the ground, grabbed the rope and began restraining Luke, who didn't fight in the slightest. Griffin worked on his restraints then finally grabbed him up and began leading him to the central building, where he was told to go. It wasn't hard to find as it got darker since there were lights on and Griffin could faintly see them through the woods.
"Gotcha." Griffin breathed with a proud smirk.
Luke seemed to blush and chuckle a little, keeping silent but he sure seemed to be enjoying himself. Griffin walked him through the woods and to the central building. Right as they got to the building which looked to be a steel structure, like an old barn but it was well kept and taken care of, he heard a scream. The scream he had been waiting for. It was Melody's scream. His head snapped over to the woods and listened carefully. Griffin slowly walked into the building and there the others were with their prey. Griffin sat Luke down and he saw that Chanelle wasn't in the building. She found Melody. Griffin breathed for a moment. He could feel the sexual tension in the air around them.
Griffin waited for a few minutes and then finally he saw the door open, Chanelle walked in with a large man next to her and he had Melody thrown over his shoulder. Seeing her like that, captured, he almost felt a low rumble in his chest, a rumble of lust for her. He heard others speaking but he didn't process what they said. His eyes were glued to her. He couldn't wait to ravage her.
A few moments later, he heard a man tell everyone to stand with the prey they wanted to sexually claim. He watched everyone then he moved to Melody instantly. Chanelle stood in the middle of Luke and Melody. She wanted both of them? He heard the question, asking for consent to a group act. Would he really want to consent to this? For someone else to share his prey?
Does Griffin consent?
