The way of the spiderweb, at least you won't gag to from the smell

You head through the spiderwebs, figuring you've gotten so far, might as well see it to the end. Walking through them is a nightmare, every tangle seemingly stronger than the next. And the damn spiders, they're everywhere! You constantly have to brush them off, but for every one you brush off, six climb back on. It doesn't take much to change your mind about turning back, but you step on something. Something with a hard shell and a gooey centre, that keeps you in place. You try to remove your leg from it, but it's held fast.

And then the chittering in the dark starts, and panic sets in. You can hear something echoing down the way, click-clacking against the hard concrete. And then you see a pair of glowing red eyes. And then six more. You squint in the darkness, and it dawns on you what horror you're witnessing. A zombie, an infected woman attached to a large thorax almost as long as a man, and eight spindly legs, each tipped with a clawed foot. She flashes her fangs, brilliant flashing white in the darkness. It moves towards you with unnatural speed, bringing her mutated face to yours, sniffing whether you're a threat, prey, or, hopefully not, a host. Unfortunately for you, you're not eaten or killed immediatly, and she punctures you in the back with her massive stinger, causing you to slowly black out as her venom flows through your veins.
