Chapter 11 by hewhoismany hewhoismany

What's going on?

The spell went off even more wrong then they first realized: Link is a now a girl, and Zelda a boy.

As their vision started to focus once more, the shades and hues of the room turning out different from what they were used to thanks to the new types of eyes, more suited for the dark, they realized being Twili weren't their only changes. Link was a bit taller than he usually was, and his frame was thinner. But to go with the new torso came some new curves, a pair of modest grey breasts rising and falling with every breath. Link's new body, which was clearly quite female, wasn't necessarily as curvy as one would expect, but was still changed from head to toe. Zelda was in much the same situation, having lost her feminine assets and become a gangly Twili male.

As they were taking stock of their changes, Midna was looking from them to the tome she'd used and back again. "Oh, uh...whoops?" was all she had at first, earning her twin glares from her friends. Rubbing the back of her head, Midna suddenly found the floor very interesting. "Well, it seems the spell's definition of normal is, well, Twili. So, that's where that snag came from. The other thing...I think I mixed up which reagents went where."

Link was ready to ask a question, but Zelda beat him to it, her voice sounding more melodious and a little deeper than he was used to. "Midna, we hold no ill will, we can't deny that even if this didn't go as planned, it's better to be...like this...than to be wolves." Link didn't 100% agree, after all he's spent quite a bit of time as a wolf, but he wasn't about to gainsay Zelda. "My largest concerns, are how will we return to normal, how we will return to Hyrule, and how we will live here in the meantime." The first two turned out to be simply 'Midna is going to work on it', but the third was a bit more involved.

What's the plan for them in the meantime?
