Chapter 6
by Suckersoprano
Where does he go to escape the sunlight?
The shack.
Dago swore under his breath and picked up Marian. He kicked down the door of the shack and quickly shut it behind him. The place only had one window, so he just had to stay far away from it or cover it. There was a rickety old cot in one corner, Dago laid Marian down in it, who was still on the verge of losing consciousness. He quickly whipped off his jacket and covered the window.
He felt in his pockets for his phone or his portal tag, but both were missing. He swore and felt around in Marian’s pockets with the same results. He punched the wall in frustration, but figured the only thing he could do was keep Marian alive. He opened up some of the cabinets in the kitchen in a rush and found several towels and a large bed sheet. All of their cleanliness was questionable, but he didn’t have much other choice. His clothing wasn’t going to help enough.
He carefully dressed Marian’s wounds, wishing he had done so sooner, or could have gotten to the Order. They had healers, but now they were stranded and god only knew where they were. If he had magic, this would be a lot easier, but he didn’t anymore. He wrapped Marian in the sheet to keep him warm and sat down, doing his best to keep him awake until sundown. They didn’t have food or any other supplies, it was necessary to leave at some point.
