The second night

The second night came and the miller's daughter was waiting for the mysterious man to appear again. The King's men had come that day and taken the gold with them but told her that she was still to be executed it the rest of the gold was not turned into straw soon. She was huddled in the corner with the blanket around her naked body. She had hid her torn dress in the corner so the guards would not see it.

She paced around the room waiting and hoping for him to show.

She soon heard a noise near the window again and twirled around, her grip tightening on the blanket around her. Instead of the man from the night before the little bent man appeared again. He became enraged when he saw the blanket. He waved his hand and it was gone. "I said for you to be naked! You will have to be punished, but first the gold." Again he waved his hand and more of the straw disappeared and shiny gold appeared in its place. When she turned back around to face her savior and captor she saw the large man from last night was before her. The man walked over to her now naked body.

"Last night was good but tonight I brought a friend to share you with."

She spun around and only than noticed another man in the room. Almost his twin but with different hair and eyes.

"No! I cannot!" She cried out, moving away. The man caught her arm in a hard grip.

"You will do as I wish if you want to live. I can fill this room with all straw if that is what you wish. I only want your body in exchange. And since it is my body I wish to share it with a friend."

The girl was defeated. She nodded her consent and the new man came forward.
