The professor gets hurt

Class continued normally, up until Professor Stafford began speaking about Dostoyevsky, when the bookcase behind him began to wobble a bit. Before he had time to react, several large books came crashing down, knocking the professor to the ground. Everyone in the classroom gasped, and worry sunk in when he didn't immediately get up.

Being the closest one to the accident, Iris got out of her seat and ran to where the professor lay. He seemed to be ****, and Iris tried to gently shake him awake. She elevated his head slightly and checked for injuries. A large bruise seemed to be forming on his face and forehead. "You!" she said to a boy who always sat close to the door, "Go find the nurse, tell her there's been an accident!" The boy nodded, and left the classroom as fast as he could.

Murmurs filled the class, with people wondering about the safety of the professor, if class was going to continue, and what would happen if he was dead. Iris wasn't entirely sure if there was anything she could do to bring him back to consciousness, and was starting to get worried, when the boy returned with the nurse and the campus guard, Officer Alan Band. Iris moved out of the way and allowed the professionals to take care of him.

Class ended with an ambulance taking Professor Stafford to the hospital.
