Who's visiting you in the hospital?
The officer from earlier.
Without waiting for an invitation, a blonde woman walks in the door. You briefly wonder if your town has been invaded by an alien species, but then decide it doesn't matter to you if they're all going to be this good-looking. She wears a button-down, blue top which makes it rather obvious she isn't wearing anything beneath it. Her skirt is darker blue, and about knee-length. You can barely see the toe of the matching heels.
"Hello, John," she says, bringing your attention back to her face.
"Uhh...," you say, struggling to remember her. "I'm sorry, but I don't recall your name."
She exhales a heavy breath.
"Geez!" she says. "You try to do your job and help a guy, and this is the thanks you get!"
That's when it hits you: She was the officer you met at the police station!!
"Excuse me!" you say, interrupting the rant you assume she was ready to go on. "I was trying to help someone by returning their money! You stayed at your desk, and... Well, you see where you helped me into!"
"Yeah," she says, sighing.
She lets out a breathy laugh, though you fail to see the humor. Then, her head turns, and her arms reach to the belt you now notice around her waist. Finally, they raise, and you notice she holds a pair of handcuffs.
"Woah!" you say, attempting to also raise your hands. "I didn't know it was against the law to have a sense of humor!"
"Oh, it's not!" she says, laughing again. "This is for your discharge... The one from this hospital, I mean!"
