Chapter 3 by Opolarhero666 Opolarhero666

What's next?

The next day.

Yawning as she sat up in bed, Ginny brushed her hair out of her face. Her mind returned to yesterday, As her gaze swept over her nightstand, and the piece of parchment resting there, her mood soured. "What the hell was I thinking? Challenging Ravenclaw in a quidditch wager."

Sitting there for another few moments, Ginny stood and headed for the shower, her mind still racing to find a solution to her stupidity. As the water cascaded down her body, she tried going through all her options. "We'll lose every game to Ravenclaw, so I'm already screwed there. And we'll both sweep Hufflepuff, so my only chance is to beat Slytherin pretty much every time we match."

Which actually played into Ginny's benefit, because the Griffindor/ Slytherin rivalry was well know, and was leaned into heavily in the quidditch season. With the two rivals playing way more matches than any other house, that disparity could be the saving grace for Griffindor. " If Ravenclaw loses to Slytherin at least twice we have a chance to win this year, but that also means we have to sweep the snakes. Which is unlikely given how strong their team is."

That realization gave Ginny pause, there was no way they could sweep Slytherin this year.... Until Ginny had an idea.

"We can't win every game against Slytherin.... Unless they let us. Unfortunately that means I'd have to come to an agreement with Malfoy, which is unappealing, and there is no guarantee he'd even agree."

As Ginny finished her shower, she continued thinking. **** to find a solution that didn't involve relying on Draco. Unfortunately, she couldn't come up with anything and resigned herself to humiliating herself in an effort to avoid being a plaything for the Ravenclaw team. "I'll have to talk to Draco after lunch when he has a free period."

Worried about her chances, she was on auto pilot as she dressed and left the common room.

As she finished filling her plate with lunch, Cho relaxed. "I can't believe that idiot Weasley agreed to those terms, she's got no chance."

Turning towards the Griffindor table, Cho watched as the red head slowly picked away at her food, obviously deep in thought. Feeling smug, Cho continued to watch while she started eating. Until a couple minutes later, Ginny stood and hurriedly walked towards the door.

Slightly confused, Cho was turning away, "probably off to see Potter, I can't wait for the first game." Just as Cho was about to focus on her food, she noticed that Ginny had gotten close to Draco as he left, their heads dipped close and Draco seemed to liten for a moment before nodding, and the two left together.

Seeing them together set off alarm bells in Cho, "those two hate each other, why would they have anything to say to each--", Cho's mind came to a halt, "THAT BITCH! She's going to try and fix the wager."

Infuriated, Cho was about to stand until another thought entered her mind. "Two can play that game, I'll just have to pay Draco a visit myself. I'm sure we can reach an agreement." Satisfied that the red headed bitch would still fail, Cho turned back to her lunch.

Throwing himself onto his bed, Draco couldn't keep the smirk from spreading across his face. Today had been interesting, after lunch, Weaslette had come to him with a problem. For some reason she had challenged Chang to a Wager, and that Gryffindor would somehow be able to end the season ahead of Ravenclaw, which would be impossible... Well impossible without his help.

So they had reached a deal, during the year he could call in 2 favors, and at the end of the year the Gryffindor team would blindfold Chang, and then hand her over to the Slytherins for the night. Of course Ginny was mostly concerned about the 2 unknown favors, which he had purposefully left undecided so he could claim whatever he wanted.

What was even more surprising was that Chang also approached him after dinner, and he had managed to wring the same deal out of her. 2 favors to be decided later, and Ginny for the night if Ravenclaw won.

So now he had a decision to make, who would he prefer to have for a night, the redhead vixen Ginny, or the oriental beauty Cho?

How does the year go?
