Chapter 8 by Dreamer44 Dreamer44

"Really? Wouldn't have guessed."

The next day...

As long as you didn't stay up way past midnight watching movies, you were the first to get up in the morning, so breakfast was left to you most of the time.

After a quick stop in the bathroom, you walked down to the kitchen. Sarah couldn't cook even if her life depended on it, Crystal didn't like making the meals and your mother was lazy in that regard, so you had resigned yourself to take up the task.

As an upside, you got to choose what to prepare. And hearing Crystal grumbling when she had to make breakfast in your stead was kind of funny-

...

The coffee pot was empty.

Closing your eyes, you took a deep breath before screaming back upstairs.

"Crystal! The coffee!"

An annoyed, muffled groan was her barely audible response. Cursing under your breath, you prepared the coffee maker. One thing. I only ask ONE THING from her. Why can't she never remember?

Well, crying over unmade coffee wasn't going to finish breakfast...

Having devoured a tower of waffles-man, you were hungry- and two coffees, you left three filled plates on the table and went up to your room. Five minutes leater, your were out of your pajamas and dressed for school. Grabbing your bag and cellphone, you headed for your bus stop.

The others not even up yet. As usual. Breakfast with family was overrated, and you always had diner together, anyway.

One of your neighbors and classmates was standing on the bus stop, looking boredly through her phone as she waited.

Who is she?
