What to pick...

The mailman job

Shuffling through the flyers, you took one that advertised a vacant spot for a mailman job. Include an average wage of 19.80$ per hours, shifts from five to six days a week, with certain day off for holiday, working from Monday to Friday with total of eight hours. With overtime being optional.

You read the detail as your brain calculated the amount of money that you could gain from having this job. You work 8 hours a day, let say you work five days for a week and you get about 800$ in your hands. And then counting the weeks of the month, which is 4 weeks on average then you get 3200$ for a month!

Which is enough for you to save some of the money from the scholarship and from the job. And there's another reason for you to take the job up is that lady, Foxxy's her name. She seems kind and energetic for woman of her age and you had good time conversing with her and she has fun doing her job.

You saw the phone number on the flyer as you pulled your phone and dialed up the number, holding it over your phone. The phone rang for few seconds before someone picked up on the other end.

"This Transnational Post Office, how may I help you?" Asked the woman on the other end of the call as you picked up the flyer of job advertisement.

"Hello, my name's [Insert name], and I was wondering if you still have the vacant spot for mailman position?" You asked as you could hear some paper being shuffled around.

"Hold just a minute. Let me see if it's available" You could hear more paper being shuffled, drawer being pulled as you grew nervous about it since you feared that you may be too late to apply. The sound would stop as another sound came up.

"Good news, Mr. [Insert name]. The mailman position is still available for you to apply" The woman answered, relieving you off your worry as your brain cheered in excitement while you held in your excitement.

"Thank you, Miss. When can I apply?"

"You can apply by filling in our form on the website. You will find the address on the flyer" You took the flyer and inspected it, finding the post office's website near the edge of the flyer as you nodded and asked the woman the question.

"So, how long will my form be accepted?" You asked, feeling worried about other people wanting to get the mailman job as well.

"It's a long process as we cross-reference other forms and choose from the pool of possible candidate for the job. But since you are the only so far has asked about the application, the process is short and simple" You let out a breath of relief, lessening your worry of having others snatch up the position and the competition to get the job.

"Any question regarding our job application? We do take it seriously when looking at your form. So don't expect us to tolerate your joking in filling the form" The woman reminded you as you nodded at her, taking her reminder at heart.

"That's all for now. I will fill out the form as fast as possible"

"Take your time, Mr. [Insert name]. We will expect your form by tomorrow" After that, the call ended on the woman's end as you felt somewhat tensed after talking. You didn't really feel it throughout the conversation but the part about filling up the form made you really tensed since for one thing:

You don't have an internet connection in your new house. You do have the your old router from back at the apartment but you don't know if this will work properly in a larger and more spacious home. And it's an old router from a networking company that has a store far from your new home.

So perhaps now you should look for an electronic store in the town that sells routers for your internet connection. Or you could ask your friend out.

What to do...
