"Hey, I'm not a mental patient," said Jane. "I'm as sane as you two are."
"Sure you are," said the red-haired girl. "That's undoubtedly why you're dressed like that."
"Why I'm dressed like -- Hey, you dressed me like this, Barbara," said Jane. "So did you, Sarah."
"No, we didn't," said the blonde girl. "We just got here. Er-- I mean, Barbara and Sarah might have done that but we're not Barbara and Sarah."
"And I'm not a mental patient," said Jane.
"So why do you keep looking around for someone who isn't there and talking about whether vampires tear your clothes off?" asked the red-haired girl.
"Because there are three of you, remember?" asked Jane. "And anyway, why shouldn't I talk about vampires tearing off my clothes. After all, that's what you did."
"I don't know, Amy," said the blonde girl. "Maybe she is telling the truth. Perhaps we should bring her into the TARDIS so that we can sort all this out in a friendlier place."
"Well, I suppose we could," said the red-haired girl with a strong tone of **** in her voice.
But when the two girls moved toward Jane to grab her arms, Jane moved backward and screamed.
"Stay away from me!" she cried. "If you're going to punish me, then punish me. But please don't touch me!"
"Okay!" cried the red-haired girl. "We won't touch you."
Then she turned toward the blonde girl and said, "That's it. We can't take her with us and we can't stay here. And we're already behind schedule as it is."
"I thought there was no such thing as 'behind schedule' when you travel in a time machine," said the blonde girl.
"Oh, be quiet, Yank," said the red-haired girl. "You're almost as bad as she is. Anyway, we've already wasted enough time here and I certainly see no vampires around here. So let's go."
"Okay," said the blonde girl. "We'll go. But first..."
The blonde girl took two objects out of her pockets and placed them on the floor in front of Jane.
Then she smiled at Jane and said, "Good luck."
After that, the two girls walked back into the big blue box and closed the front door behind them.
Shortly after that, the big blue box faded from sight and within a few minutes, it seemed as if it were never there in the first place.
The only two things that proved that the whole experience had not been part of a dream was the two objects left on the floor in front of Jane: a crucifix and a pointed stick.
Jane just looked at the two objects and asked, "What the heck am I supposed to do with these things?"
