John patted the small plastic case in his pocket. It was no larger than a pack of gum but it had cost him a thousand bucks.
Three doses of the stuff called "Nudge."
The dealer had told him it was discounted. That the stuff was literally impossible to get anywhere else. New, largely untested. No one really knew about it yet so John could probably get away with a lot. It helped that the dealer was John's cousin, Nathan, who had been working on the formula for months. But that guy didn't have the stomach to actually take it out and use it on someone. No, he was just a perverted shut-in looking for the cash flow only a **** empire could give him.
John saw the opportunity and volunteered to get the whole ball rolling. Nathan might not have been willing to put his creation to use but he wasn't afraid to charge for it. Even so early in the whole process. Whatever. If it did what he said it did, John was happy to pay the price.
Mind control. It was enough to make him giddy. He'd been fantasizing about this for a long time.
Nathan said it had limitations but John didn't mind. The **** would suspend the victim's mind in its most suggestive state for a few minutes only and then it would begin to close, but they should remain more-than-usually suggestable for another hour or so. Anything pushed on them in that first phase of the **** should be permanent, as long as it wasn't too dissonant from their core personality. And they wouldn't remember anything from the full hour.
That was what John was counting on.
