Chapter 10 by vanillathunder vanillathunder

Do the ladies strike up a one sided conversation? Or do they convince the salon that Andra needs some other things done?

The ladies strike up a one-sided conversation.

Andrew's eye darted around, trying to locate his sneakers, to no avail. He sighed and relaxed his shoulders, sinking into the chair. He wasn't going anywhere.

"Andrea, are you okay?" the woman to his left asked.

"Oh, Gladys, she can't answer you, she has a teeth whitener in her mouth." the women to his right responded. "I'm Blanche, by the way."

"Mmph!" Andrew replied, hoping that would shut the two up.

"What's the occasion?" Gladys asked. "We come here every week. Have to retouch our color, you know."

Andrew silently whined as the women kept talking.

"You look just about my grandson's age. He just graduated college, you know. Doesn't really know what he wants to do, but he's still got time for his grandmother. Always meets his friends here, so he can drive me and Blanche to the salon." Gladys said.

Andrew nervously smiled

"Oh hush, all you do is try to set him up while you're here." Blanche said. "Don't mind her, she just can't help playing matchmaker."

Andrew decided to turn his attention to the magazine, and started flipping through the pages. Unfortunately, every page just reminded him of what situation he was stuck inside of.

"So?" Gladys asked. "Do you have a boyfriend?"

Andrew quickly shook his head no, before mentally smacking himself for telling the woman that he was single.

"My grandson, you'll like him, trust me. He's picking me up soon, so I'll make sure to introduce you." Gladys assured Andrew, patting his left hand. "That's a lovely color on you."

Thankfully, Gladys and Blanche finished in the dryer much earlier than you, so you were soon left alone as they continued onto their next treatment. Eventually, Barbie returned and lifted dryer, checking Andrew's hair.

"All done!" Barbie helped Andrew to his feet and started to lead him across the room.

Andrew spotted an empty chair by a mirror, and also a back room door left slightly ajar. Barbie started to lead him closer to one of the two.

"Now it's time for..." Barbie started.

Is it time for makeup or a waxing?
