The internet of course

Absent mindedly getting yourself another large mug of tea while you start to think, the first explanation that comes to mind is that someone is pulling a large practical joke on you. Although remodelling the bathroom is a big task - and why got to all the bother and expense of getting a shower that exactly matches the colour of the rest of the suite when removing the toilet? As far as you know avocado bathrooms went out with the 1980s. And why would you remove the toilet? And then getting Julie to pose bottomless for a photograph - why? And why not Lisa too? If you'd had to guess you'd have said that Lisa was the more exhibitionist of the two of them, not that you'd have put money on either of them showing their genitals in public. There there were Derek's odd comments. It just didn't make any sense. You realise that this line of thinking isn't going to get you much further for now, so you turn to the internet - surely changing that is way beyond the scope of any practical joke?

Your first few minutes of searching were frustratingly unproductive - the word "toilet" just didn't seem to bring up any useful hits at all and "restroom" didn't produce anything useful either - just rooms to relax in with the strong hints that some of that "relaxing" would be with done with another person (or more!) and sometimes quite intimately. "Bathroom" brought up pictures of rooms with baths and showers but never anything resembling would you would call a toilet - and it was as if "public bathrooms" were just not a thing. And like the one off your hallway, many of them didn't seem to offer much privacy and there wasn't so much as a hint of gender segregation. It was all very strange.

After yet another trip to the shower to empty your bladder and another cup of tea you start to wonder whether you have somehow fallen into a parallel universe, as none of this would make any sense otherwise (not that it makes much sense even with that). And that's when you start to remember your dream...

You quickly realise that if you are going to live in this world you're going to need some answers that the internet is not going to give you easily. You need to talk to someone, preferably in person, so you can get your head around all the changes - and convince yourself it is actually real. But who can you talk to that wont think you're crazy (assuming you aren't)?
