"I want to hear the good news first." You said hoping it would be the early arriving of your new uniform.
"I had talked with your colleagues and the ward nurses, and they all told me you did a good job." Dr. Moore praised you for your good work. "Therefor I decided to move you from the morning shift to the regular one. You will be working under Ward nurse Lewis on the morning shift, evening shift and night shift taking turns. In some cases you may also have to work on the weekends. You will also be treated like a regular nurse, so you no longer have a supervisor around."
"Ok." You replied understanding that from now on you were staying with the same nurses the whole time, which meant you were to see Amanda all the time.
"There is also a benefit from that." Dr. Moore continued. "As a regular nurse, despite it only being your internship, you get paid for your work."
"I get paid?" You asked surprised.
"Yes, and not an insignificant amount either. Let me see." Dr. Moore looked at her monitor. "7,000$ per month and additional 5,000$ for the last three weeks."
"S...Seven thousand?" You asked totally surprised. You had never had so much money and it was way more than what your sister was getting paid.
"We pay at the upper end of the scale, but we also require good quality from our employees." The woman said seriously. "But from all I have heard you have the potential, so we are willing to pay you that much."
"But 7,000?" You asked still not believing how much you were going to get paid.
"And additional 5,000 are already transferred to your account."
If you didn't were sitting, now you would have needed a chair. The shock of getting so much money for your internship was huge.
"Now we get to the bad news." Dr. Moore said.
