The girls talk with Alexa
“So, Lexi, I guess you’ve found yourself in quite the predicament,” Hailey said. “You not only wet yourself but you did it so badly you got a rash. A nasty diaper rash. I don’t get it, why did you lie about your problem? It seems to have only made it worse? How long has this been going on?”
Alexa frowned and looked down at the floor. “I didn’t choose this,” Alexa cried. “I just... it just started as a single night, and of course I was embarrassed about it. Then it was another and then another until I moved out and could get diapers which made it easier to hide my problem. I was so ashamed and embarrassed... I still am. I feel like... I feel like a freak!”
“Ah, come on, Lexi,” Faith said. “I mean... I get It’s embarrassing, but wouldn’t it have been better to at least address it rather than make it worse?”
Alexa frowned and let tears roll down her cheeks. “I...I didn’t want people to...t-to abandon me and make fun of me and tease me and l-leave me. I didn’t want you t-to hate me or be a-ashamed of m-me,” Alexa cried.
“Ah, Lexi,” Faith said, wrapping her arms around Alexa, pulling her in. “I’m sorry. I didn’t think... Lexi, I’m not ashamed of you. I... thought it was amusing to see you, my older sister in diapers and all, but... but you should’ve asked us for help. We’re your family. We would have helped you.”
Alexa looked at Amy. “What about y-you?” Alexa asked. “You w-would’ve just done what you did to me now...right?”
Amy shrugged her shoulders. “I don’t know what to think about all of this,” she said. “I think it’s sad that you’re a full grown woman who still wets the bed and has to wear diapers.”
Amy looked at Alexa. “You know what? Screw this, you guys might feel sorry for her, but she doesn’t deserve our pity. She did this all to herself. We didn’t do a thing. She’s the one who will be in diapers for life at this rate,” Amy said.
Amy stood up and walked away as Alexa frowned and her lip quivered. Alexa couldn’t help but cry. She knew it probably made her look even more pathetic, but she just felt... sad. Faith wrapped her arms around her sister. The other girls looked sympathetic. “It’s going to be okay, Lexi,” Faith whispered. “We’re not leaving you. What you do no matter what we still love you, but there’s going to have to be some things that you’re not going to like. It doesn’t mean we don’t love you. Amy... Amy just...Lexi it’s going to be okay.”
Alexa cried, unable to stop the tears. Faith and Hailey held Alexa closely, comforting her. Soon, Alexa calmed down and took a deep breath. “I’m sorry,” Alexa whispered.
“It’s okay, Lexi,” Faith said. “Look, Lexi. This’ll be easier if you just accept what happens. We want to help you, Lexi. We do, but... it’s going to take time. And you’re going to have to do things you don’t like.”
Amy scoffed as she came back, stroller in hand and a diaper bag. “Yeah, just accept the way things are, Lexi,” Amy snickered. “You’re nothing but a big baby. Now get in. We’re going for a walk.”
“Amy wait, maybe you shouldn’t,” Faith said.
“Shut up, Faith,” Amy said. “Don’t forget what I have on you. You get in my way, and all your secrets will be out for all the world to see. So stay out of this. Now come on, Lexi.”
Amy pulled Lexi into the stroller and walked out the door, pushing Alexa along.
