The forest, it is

With a few minor inconveniences here and there, you find your way into the forest. The big forest is alarming, but signs show you the way.

You hadn't been told about the annoying bug catchers. They were everywhere.

Considering there wasn't much there, you caught a Weedle as a token of remembrance. You weren't sure whether you would actually use it later or not, but a Bug-type would probably come in handy at some point.

"You!" a young boy yelled, pointing at you. "You and me, a battle right now." You tried to say something, but it was too late. At least, you'd make some money off of this. You noticed the 6 Pokeballs and instantly regretted your decision. The details of the battle were pretty unimportant. It was pretty much your Pikachu vs all 6 of his Caterpie. Weedle even got in a level or two, too. Apparently, it was enough to evolve it into a Kakuna.

Walking away from the kid, you noticed a dense amount of trees up ahead. Looking past them, however, you could see the exit.

You were finally getting to an exit when one last kid challenged you.

"I'm the best trainer here," he said, "and if you plan on getting out of here, you'll have to beat me" He clenched his fists. He had one Pokeball, but it was the Pokemon inside that would determine the outcome.

It turned out it was a Weedle. But a look of intimidation were in its eyes. You sent out Mankey.

"Leer it!" you commanded. The Weedle's stance changed to a much more worried look.

"Don't you worry, Weedle! Use Poison Sting!" the ace bug catcher yelled. A needle of poison hit Mankey for a direct hit. The worst part was that it got poisoned, too. You had to switch out. Kakuna was your best choice at the moment.

"Kakuna, use String Shot!" you uttered. The cocoon Pokemon sprayed out layers and layers of string, until the Weedle was all wound up. "Now, return." Pikachu had to finish this.

"Go, Charmy!" you exclaimed. Pikachu got out of its ball and sprang up immediately.

"Weedle, Poison Sting!" the boy commanded.

"Charmy, hurry with a Quick Attack!" you shouted. Before the Weedle could let out its devastating attack, your Pikachu had bashed it onto the soil. You switched out Pikachu, however, and with your Mankey, you had it land the finishing hit.

With the items you had bought, you healed your squad and were on your merry way again.
