The flying fishing hook snags part of their clothing

Yukiko felt a sudden resistance. "Huh? That's odd," she said, yanking at the rod. "It's not in the water yet."

"Yukiko, wait!" Chie shouted. "I see it, so just let me-HEY!"

But Yukiko was too worked up to heed Chie's words. She was going to end this now. All she knew, and all she needed to know, was that the hook had gotten caught on something; so she needed to get it unstuck. With the storm raging around her, the wind whipping at her hair, and the rain freezing every inch of her body, only the adrenaline pumping through her body and singlemindedly focusing on her goal kept her from breaking down into a shivering, sneezing heap and giving up for the night. So, energized as she was, instead of doing the safe and logical option of stopping and letting Chie work the hook free, she just kept pulling harder and harder.

However, what she didn't know, and what Chie was trying to tell her, was that the hook had whipped around and gotten itself snagged in their clothes, specifically:
