The east gate

Your first task is getting through the gate on the east side of Vermilion City. Much like the one you entered through, this one has automatic doors for both entering and leaving the city. Upon entering, you find a guard inside. You approach him warily.

“Can I see your ID, ma’am?”

“Sure, but I’m not paying you. Not one penny,” you say, handing over your ID with more **** than is necessary.

“Why would I ask you to pay me? It’s free… Geez, some people…” he mumbles, scanning your ID and issuing your pass. Yeah, “some people” is right.

With far less deception and debauchery involved than last time, you make it past the guard and you’re out into the wilderness, ready to make the trek to Fuchsia City! This should be easy!

…You thought. Yet, you’ve made almost no progress at all in the last hour or two. The only reason you aren’t still wandering around a cold, dark cave is that it was full of Digletts and Dugtrios, so your own pokemon was able to get directions and lead you out. You give Dugtrio lots of headpats for that one. Even after that, though, you can’t seem to get anywhere thanks to a maze formed by the tall grass. Of course, you find trainers along the way, but none of them are willing to help without a battle.

You actually manage to beat the first few, who begrudgingly agree to give you directions. Your winning streak doesn’t last long, though, as you soon find yourself flashing your tits for a victorious trainer. Out of the kindness of his heart, he still decides to give you directions which finally lead you out of the tall grass for good.

Back on the path to your destination and free from jerks for the time being, you don’t get very far before you reach a path with a fork in it. You don’t really remember which way to go here, and your phone isn’t getting any service. You briefly consider going back and asking one of the trainers for directions, but you decide against it. You’d probably have to do more than just flash them…
