Chapter 49 by Sinburn Sinburn

The date

Sophie admired herself in the mirror. One part of feminine life she had really taken to was dressing up. Previously she had ben **** to wish for Sarah to have any inclination to dress up and even now she always looked good but in a more relaxed way. Now she was a woman Sophie loved to make herself look great. In reality this meant that most of her outfits would have been suitable for a nice dinner but her first date with a man had been a great excuse to go shopping.

Se was wearing a dark clue, off the shoulder cocktail dress. The skirt was mid thigh and flared out. She loved how it swished when she swung her hips around. The top of the dress had support built in so she went without a bra and it left her with a teasing but not immodest amount of cleavage. On her feet where a pair of cream court shoes in her now standard high heel and she had a small clutch purse. She had kept her hair down so as not to look too formal and she felt like she had a sexy, modern, nineteen fifties vibe going on. He makeup fitted with the pin-up retro look with bright red lips and defined eyes. Her teeth were brilliant white when she smiled at herself in the mirror and she felt like a film star.

There was a quiet knock and the door opened a little "Can I come in?"

Sophie looked over to see Sarah poking her head in. "Of course" she said. "This is your room too. Why are you being shy?"

"I just wanted to give you some privacy. You don't ned me to help any more."

"You never get my makeup like I want it" she chuckled as she headed over to her. "Honestly though, I know I'm going out without you but it's not like you aren't important." Sophie reached up and stoked Sarah's cheek with her thumb. Do you really think that after all the things we've been through that this will tear me away from you?"

Sarah kissed Sophie's hand and held it "You are right" she said with a soft smile. "I guess I'm a little on edge about tonight because I have someone coming over too and it feels like I'm being bad."

Sophie reached around and grabbed Sarah's butt and pulled her close. "You are being bad and I'm getting wet just thinking about it."

Sarah smiled and tried to kiss her but Sophie dodged her lips. "My makeup" she warned as she escaped her.

"Damn," said Sarah smiling. "Now I want you even more. Is this how yo felt when I was with Alice?"

Sophie blushed "Probably even more so. There was something about being denied that made you all the more desirable. Anyway, tonight is different. Neither of us is going without. Is Alice coming over?"

It was Sarah's turn to blush "No, it's someone else."

Sophie's moth dropped open but she couldn't help bust smile through her shock. "You bad girl. Who?"

"I'll tell you afterwards. She's a bit shy."

"So it's a woman." Sophie's phone buzzed "Oh curse you. Now I'm dying to know but my ride is here." She grabbed her things and started making for the door. She was nervous and took a deep breath "Wish me luck."

Sarah smiled at her "You don't need it. You got this."

Sophie dashed over to her and kissed her on the cheek before saying "Bye" and hurrying out.

As instructed she went in to the restaurant and gave Mr Morris' name to the host before being led to a table. Mr Morris beamed as he saw her and she felt his eyes moving over her body before her placed a hand firmly on her waste and kissed her cheek.

A flutter ran through Sophie. She had never been kissed by a man and the way he had confidently touched her made her weak. He was in an immaculate suit and he smelled of expensive cologne. He could have had her right then but instead of jumping him she let him pull the chair out for her. It was unusual to be on the receiving end of the gesture but she didn't let it faze her. She had been adapting to being treated as a lady.

"Should I order wine or are you driving?" he asked.

"Please do. I got an Uber. I presumed we would be celebrating Mr Morris" Sophie said, the slightest hint of doubt crept in over whether she had misread the signals. Those doubts evaporated though when she saw the look on his face.

"Wonderful and please call me Colin. We are not in the office"

The dinner progressed swimmingly and conversation flowed as easily as the wine. Sophie found herself laughing at his stories and blushing at his many compliments. Over desert he reached out and touched her hand. Men's hands were so different: larger, the skin a different texture. She thrilled at the romantic gesture.

"Sophie I have to confess, my intentions on inviting you out tonight were not strictly professional."

Sophie took a breath. It was time to be honest. "I suspected as much" she said as she interlaced her fingers with his. "Collin, I have to be frank with you. I am in a long term relationship." She could see him react and quickly continued "The thing is, my circumstances are unusual. My partner knows I am out with you tonight. They also know that I have found you very attractive during out time working together and that I came out tonight with the intention of not returning home."

Colin looked surprised but he didn't withdraw his hand. He seemed to release a tension that he had been holding "I must confess to being a little disappointed. After our time working together and tonight I had been fantasising about making you my bride, waking up and looking into your beautiful eyes for the rest of my days."

Once upon a time Sophie would never have expected those words to have any impact on her but the frank and openly romantic words made her heart pond in her chest. She was not about to leave Sarah but if she had been tempted she could easily have seen herself in a white dress, giving herself to this man.

Collin went on "I could hardly call myself a hot blooded male if I denied the fact that hearing you find me attractive and came out planning to share a bed with me pleases me considerably."

"Does that mean I have somewhere to stay tonight?" Sophie asked playfully as she ran her toe up Collin's calf.

He lifted her hand to his lips and kissed it. "It would be an honour if you would accompany me back to mine tonight."

Sophie smiled, her teeth bright white against her painted lips "I suppose I had better accept then."
