Chapter 4 by spanky
How does your wedding go?
The ceremony goes splendidly.
The run up goes perfectly. You've literally hit no hitches after that first day randomness. Both of your families are able to attend and you can't believe your luck. Your best friend from college Tommy is the best man and Sarah's 21 year old sister Eva is the maid of honor. The ceremony goes splendidly. It is a perfectly overcast late summer day with birds chirping, relative crying, and friends chatting it up. You and Sarah exchange vows, declare your undying love, and are officially husband and wife. This moment which felt so farfetched when you first met has come to fruition. Some rain clouds start to come in toward then end and it gets a little chillier but it is right as people are off to the reception venue while the wedding party sticks around to take some pictures. You all get rained on a little but you've prepared for this and have your party clothes ready for the reception at the venue. Arriving at the venue for the reception you all head off to your designated changing areas and prep for the reception.
The first thing that seemed off was that Tommy was supposed to meet you promptly after you changed to head over to meet the rest of the weeding party with Sarah and her sister Eva. You met Sarah at the designated spot and neither of those two was to be seen anywhere. You both decided to meet up with the other wedding party members to check if they just forgotten and went there by mistake. Meeting up with the other wedding party members you discover they both had changed but not met up with anyone. Now this wedding officially turned into a mystery. The wedding party coordinates to check to see if they can find them. After about 15 minutes of searching everyone meets back up after a brides maid says they are seated at their spots for the reception. You whisper to your wife, "Mystery solved, they're idiots. At least that will be the most and possibly only messed up thing about our perfect wedding!" You both share a laugh and send someone to get Tommy and Eva. You enter the reception hall as planned via DJ.
After your seated you see Sarah talking Eva. Eva has a flustered and flushed look on her face. "Sorry girl, I tried to calm your sister down." You think to yourself. You turn to Tommy and say, "Tommy...did you...?". Tommy very uncharacteristically struggling to meet your glance mumbles, "Dude, I tell you what happened afterwards. It's not what you think. Just enjoy yourself, it's about to start." With that Tommy hands you a champagne glass and the DJ jumps in to start the normal reception toasts and talks. Looking over Eva does the same with Sarah. She still looks shook and Tommy is acting weird but maybe it is just the married high you're feeling. You do notice Sarah's parents wander in uncharacteristically late but the DJ is to a part where you clap and wave.
WTF is going on?
