He picked up Marian as carefully as he had time for and dashed to the cave. He looked behind him and saw that the way the cave was angled; it would flood the entire place with daylight. He swore again and ran further into the cave, but it came to an abrupt stop. There wasn’t any time for him, so he quickly pulled the portal tag out of his back pocket and stuck it onto the cave wall. He shoved Marian through the portal, hoping that someone would find and help him. He could already feel his body turning to ash.
