The band forms

"Well, I heard everything from Sophie Mark, and well, she's gone out with her new boyfriend the school's quarter back. I didn't really care to be alone tonight, so I came here." Alice said as she walked past him into his room, "Hey Alex! Long time." She said as she sat at the table in the kitchen and Alex was sitting in his room.

"Well hey Alice, didn't expect to see you tonight? Mark is going on a date with-"

"Yeah, Steph, I know. We talked, and we decided that we would join your band. Your welcome." She said as she leaned back in her chair to make eye contact with Mark who looked back to stare at her incredulously.

"You're kidding me right?" Mark asked as he saw Steph coming down the hall and waved at her.

"Well, if you don't believe me, we can just wait for Steph to come over and tell you herself?"

"Yeah let's do that." Mark said. Steph arrived at the door and hugged Mark and entered the room and said hi to Alex and then hugged Alice. "Wait, you two know each other?" Mark asked waving between Steph and Alice.

"Yeah, she's my girlfriend." Said Steph.

"Girlfriend as in a friend who's a girl?" Mark asked hoping he was right.

"No. Girlfriend as in we're lesbians." Alice said "Though it seems we share a liking of you though."

"You two are lesbians." Mark said as he sat down at the breakfast table in the kitchen

"Relax Mark, we're bi for you" Alice said as she looked at Steph "especially after what Steph told me you two did. Did you know that she was a virgin for a man? So am I by the way, the only virginity we lost was to each other."

"That's sweet of you two. I'm not quite ready for another relationship just yet, but what's this I hear about you two joining out band?"

"Well, Steph and I pride ourselves on our oral, hmm, vocal abilities." Alice said.

"So you're saying you two are good singers?" Alex asked as he walked over from his room and took the last chair.

"I'm a singer alone, but Alice is a great drummer, so if you need one of those?" Steph said

"Of course we do! We should get practicing! We have a number of songs completed already, we should go over them Alex is our bas guitar player, and I'm the electric guitar player."

"No time. We've got a gig tonight at the campus bar. We've got around two hours to show time, so let's get prepared here so we have time to practice on that stage." Alice dropped the bombshell on them

"What?!" Said both Alex and Mark at the same time. "Are you serious?" Added Mark

"Yeah, let's go. You know how incredibly popular Alice is on campus, I'm not so bad myself, must have something to do with my ass that you loved so much huh Mark?" She laughed as Mark blushed. "Anyways, as soon as organizers heard that we were talking about joining a band, they didn't even ask who the other members were, they just all started to try and book us immediately."

"Wow, this is insane. I never would have imagined this would happen this soon." Alex said, and Mark nodded his head in agreement.

"Wow you girls are the best!" Said Mark. For the next fifteen minutes Mark and Alex gathered their guitars and sheet music and walked out the door with the two ladies who had made their dreams come true.

The local campus bar was only a ten minute walk from their residence, as they made their way to the bar and proceeded to set everything up on stage, before heading backstage where the had a mock stage set up with all kinds of instruments for acts to practice in a sound proof room with a clock on the wall for them to monitor the time. Mark and Alex picked up their respective type of guitars, as Alice got ready on the drums and Steph stood in front of the group where the mike would be. Everyone had their parts in front of them for all the songs they would be playing for their first gig. As the band played through their act, Mark was amazed by how quickly Alice and Steph picked up their parts. By the second go around on the songs, the girls had completely memorized their parts, and the group was done practicing with ten minutes left before the show started. "You guys write great music! Wow!" Alice said as she and he rest of the band exited the practice room.

"Thanks Alice! You and Steph learned your parts really fast, I'm impressed."

"Yeah, thanks. I guess studying is good for one thing, it helps you learn faster I guess." She said as the manager of the bar came up to them.

"You guys ready? What should we call you?" Mark mentally slapped himself, they had been practicing for a while now but hadn't yet picked a name for themselves. Mark was trying to think of a good name when Steph made a choice.

"How about 'The Dreamers'?" She asked the rest of the band.

"I love it." Said Mark and the others echoed his approval.

"Ok. The Dreamers" He mumbled as he wrote down the name in his notebook "Please go get ready on the stage, curtain rises in five minutes. Collect your money from me at the bar when the gig is over."

"Ok, here it goes." Alex said as he clapped Mark on the back.

The group was ready as the curtain rose to reveal a packed house. As soon as the curtain rose chants of 'Alice!' and 'Steph!' rang out among the crowd, showing just how popular the two beautiful girls were. "Good evening folks!" Steph started by saying. "Thank you for being here and supporting us in our very first public concert. We are The Dreamers!" She said as she gave the others the signal to jump into the first song. As the show went on, it seemed as if everyone was becoming more calm on stage and feeding off the energy of the crowd. Steph was bringing the crowd jumping on its feet through her soaring voice, and stage personality as she interacted with the crowd. Alice had her moments as well, when the rest of the group allowed her to have a solo that lasted for half a minute and resulted in an ovation. As the show started with chants of the girls names, it ended with chants of the boys names, as a couple of players from the baseball team were present and they started chanting their names which everyone quickly picked up. Alex's bass riffs were beautiful, and Mark's riffs on the electric guitar were heavenly. By the end of the last song, everyone was dripping in sweat, but it was all worth it, as the crowd gave them a huge ovation. The band took it's final bows and wished everyone a good night. Mark, Alex and the girls went to the bar after wiping down back stage, and got their gig money and a couple of drinks on the house for a successful first concert. Those couple of drinks quickly grew to many more, and the band members continued drinking until the bar closed down, at which point they managed to somehow make it back to their residence without falling over or passing out.

"Hey Alex, you didn't faint this time." Mark blearily said

"I feel like it."

"Hold on Alex." Steph said as she was basically the one pulling him along now "I won't be able to carry you." Mark marveled at the girls' **** tolerance, as neither one of them seemed at all buzzed by the ****.

"It takes practice sweetie." Alice breathed into his ear. Mark in his drunken judgment decided to steal a kiss from Alice, but suddenly lost his footing and almost fell over as Alice helped him back "Maybe later Mark."

"Yeah, good idea." He grumbled embarrassed.

As they got back to the residence, the receptionist gave them a knowing smile and let them through the door with no questions asked. "She was nice" Mark said.

"Yeah, maybe she's into you?" Alice said

"Yeah, ok." Mark said. They all took the elevator up to Mark and Alex's floor so that Alex could be put in his bed. Mark made his own way to his bed with the help of Alice as Steph helped Alex get into his.

"You need help with anything? Taking your belt off, relieving any built up pressure?"

"Hmm, maybe?" Mark said

"Um No." Steph said from outside his room door.

"You're right Steph. I don't think I can even do anything right now. Remind me not to drink this much again please."

"Sure. You mind if we stay here tonight? We'll sleep on the couch out in the living area." Alice said as she glanced at Steph who shrugged her shoulders and looked at Mark

"Yeah sure, if you guys want." Mark said as he was falling asleep "I think the Jays game is on, there's some popcorn..." He said as he dropped off to sleep.

"Well thankfully they don't have classes until later in the afternoon tomorrow. I know you have classes early, I'll wake them up before I head out, don't worry." Steph said.
