The ball

Everyone is talking and laughing...everyone but me that is my body is tensing up as I come to the realization that I'm gonna be in a room filled mostly with strangers. Kyle seems to be the first to notice "Yo Antonio what's up man you look tense." Everyone's attention seems to shift to me making my body only tense up more. I take a quick breath and sigh trying to relieve some of my nerves "I'm not overly fond of large crowds." "I can blame the guy for being nervous, heck this is the biggest event of the year very important people are gonna be here even a diplomat from clan Kai." Zack says. I become even more tense from this new information. Delilah shoots Zack a glare, "what?" is his only reply. "Put your back to me Antonio." Delilah says. I turn so my back faces her she puts her hands on my shoulders and begins to massage them "just relax." She whispers "I'm gonna be right there beside you the whole time." I start to let my body relax, "good and just to be on the safe side." I start to feel magic pour into me. "Now relax and focus on absorbing the magic ok." I just nod and begin to focus the group goes back to their previous conversation's, I'm surprised...either she didn't give me much magic or my body is absorbing it faster it hasn't been long since she gave me the magic and it's already gone. "your body is absorbing the magic faster." Delilah says I swear I think she's a mind reader sometimes.

The car stops in front of a large crowd of people it looks like a Hollywood event with the red carpet and people with cameras only thing missing is the building only thing there was a platform which needless to say confused me. The door opens and Titan and Amanda our the first to get out followed by Tina and Zack than Kyle and Abby I hear crowds cheering and cameras clicking as they taking pictures of our group I let out a sigh than Delilah and I exit the vehicle and the crowd roars and I see hundreds of flashing camera lights. We walk down the carpet to the platform when suddenly a person with floating camera approaches us. "It's Delilah with her mysterious hunk lets see if we can get a moment of her time." Oh lord she's a reporter I want to run but Delilah is firm holding my arm. "Relax she's just gonna ask a few questions." The reporter is now in front of us her camera is hovering around us. "Delilah it is so good to see you again. Delilah smiles "it's good to be here." "And who might you be?" The camera hovers towards me. "Antonio Rodrigues miss." "you wouldn't have to be related to Nathan and Marry Rodrigues would you?" I would really like to know how she knew my parents name. "The very same." "So where did you guys go you kinda just vanished?" "I'm sorry I'm not at liberty to say. "Alright well thank you for your time guys have fun tonight." "Thank you." We continue walking towards the platform where our group is waiting.

"I hope I never have to do that again." Delilah laughs " you did well be proud i thought you were gonna stammer like crazy." " Yeah I surprised myself." we are now with our group in the middle of the platform. "Umm is this the place the ball is taking place they all chuckle at me which causes me to become flustered. "Antonio look up." Delilah says I give her a confused look than I look up the sight before me has me awestruck I see a massive palace seemingly hanging in mid air. "How?" no one responds to my question suddenly a man speaks he's so small I didn't even see him....I think he's a gnome. "We all ready to go up?" "We are." Delilah responds "ok hold on." suddenly the platform glows next thing I know we are standing in a huge room it has paintings and statues all around us. "where are we." I ask a little discombobulated from my little trip. "you're in Fasdol palace sir." The little gnome responds. "Wow." Is all I manage to say, It's like a highly decorated empire state building. Delilah giggles "you gonna stand here and gawk all night or you gonna join the party?" We walk away from the circle and head over to a table that's loaded with food. Rrrhhhggg my stomach rumbles I grab a plate and pick up a few small sandwiches and a brownie and dig in it doesn't take long for me to the food off as more party guest show up. I guess we were a little early.

I see a stage hovering over us the band is just about finished hooking up their gear. I see some movement in the corner of the room before I can get a good look at the group they vanish behind a door needless to say this peaks my curiosity. "Hey guys I'll be right back." I start to walk over the door where I saw the group disappear. I get to the door and slowly open it. I don't see anyone I walk through the door I see anyone just a wall to my left so I figure I should go right thankfully it's just a straight hallway and well lit. I walk down the hallway my instincts are telling me to be on guard so I start to focus on raising my abilities. I'm at the end of the hallway...it's a dead end...that can't be a group of seven people can't just vanish into thin air like that. I suddenly feel three pairs of hands grab me from behind one pair grab my chest the other two each grab an arm. Their hands are small yet strong and cold very cold. A beautiful woman enters my view her eyes are a very light shade of blue and her skin is a pale white her hair is blonde it goes down past her shoulders her body is curvy and her breast are probably big C's. She closes the distance between us she wraps she places a hand on my cheek and wraps her arm around my neck. "Hi." She says in a chipper tone I noticed she has fangs seeing this makes me believe that they are vampires. I feel myself becoming flustered by how close she is I try to fight my natural habits but I feel my cheeks starting to burn.

"So what are you doing back here?" She ask, "I could ask you the same question?" I ask trying to sound more confident than I really am. She has a sultry grin on her face "I don't really think you're in any position to be asking questions there honey." She's wearing a blue dress and I notice a little badge on her belt that reads security I instantly relax seeing that these are actually the good guys. "I saw a group of people walk back her I thought it was a little strange so I decided to follow them back here than you guys showed up. She gives me a questioning look "hmm not sure I believe you hold still." I decide it's probably best to cooperate she leans my head to one side so my neck is exposed. "Please be gentle." I ask hoping she won't bite down or suck to hard for that matter Last thing I wanted to do was explain my neck hickey to Delilah. She just smiles "no promises." She leans towards my neck I try to relax than I feel her fangs enter my neck I hope she doesn't let any blood get on my suit Delilah would pitch a fit. She sucks on my neck for a whole minute I'm pretty sure she's just enjoying herself. She pulls her fangs out and licks my neck. "He's clean." I feel a napkin dab the blood off my neck than the hands release me. "Sorry to disturb you Antonio we're gonna keep an eye out for that group you saw thank you for your cooperation." She gets closer to me "my name is Kaylee." She whispers I suddenly feel her hand enter my pocket "give me a call some time." With that I walk away from them and go back to where the party is I can hear the music through the walls.
