The assessment (1)

One by one, the candidates arrive and are escorted to the interview office for the assessment. A few caught your attention. You advertised many positions for graduates to attract the young women and you were not disappointed.

The thirty candidates are now seated inside the interview office but you do not start anything yet. Instead, you speak about an additional candidate who has yet to turn up so that the ladies would have no other options but to wait for that latecomer in this very room. You are delighted to notice that some of the drinks have disappeared and many ladies return to blankly staring at the red dot on the screen after you leave.

You come back a few minutes later after you confirm that the women were under the effect of your environment.

"Apologise everyone but the last candidate has yet to turn up. We will have to proceed without her. I have with me a set of question papers and answer sheets." You explain as you walk around, distributing the sets. "It is a simple logic and reasoning test. You will have thirty minutes to answer forty questions. You do no need to answer every questions and in fact, you will not be penalised for wrong answers. So feel free to make some guesses if you are running out of time. I also provided you with spare papers in case you need it."

"If you have any questions or need anything during the test, please do not hesitate to raise your hand. Since we are already late, we will start in the next minute." You explain as you switch on the screen and put on a timer of thirty minutes. You briefly observe the women and answer their questions before starting the timer. The women quickly open the test paper and started working on the first question.

You smile faintly at the sight and casually walk around the office, acting as an examiner to stop them from cheating. After a few moments, you take out a set of headphones and put them on to block any sounds coming from outside. Then, you use your phone to control the speakers in the room and sneakily change the track playing.

At first, the new track does not look very different from the previous background tune but if the women pay attention to it, they would notice faint and gentle murmurs hidden between the notes of the melody. The test aimed at diverting their attention away from their surroundings and allow you to influence them from their hearing sense.

The test itself is just a random IQ test you picked up online but you purposely reduced its duration to give the women a sense of urgency. The questions are ordinary but the paper they are written on is special. With their attention focused on the questions printed with a dark black ink, the women are unable to notice the faint watermarks containing various subliminal messages. They matched the whispers and while the women themselves did not notice anything unusual, their subconscious was slowly being influenced.

The messages on the first few pages of the test paper were quite simple and aimed at making the women more comfortable and oblivious to what is really happening:

-"This dim office is very normal for an interview."

-"There is nothing wrong with this test or what I am hearing."

-"Focus on answering the questions."

-"This test and office is perfectly normal."

As time goes by, you continue to walk around, gradually increasing the volume of the speakers. After the ten-minute mark, the tune starts changing. By now, the women have already reached the third page of the test paper where the content of the subliminal messages is more intrusive and impactful.

-"John Doe Consultants is a great company."

-"I want to work for John Doe Consultants."

-"I find the founder of the company to be a wise and handsome man."

-"I will do my best at this interview."

While the women are all focusing on the test papers, you take your time to observe them, picking the prettiest ones to recruit. You eventually settle on six girls who will become your close partners but at the same time, you also select five other women who according to their CV, have some work experience. You want to set up a genuine company and need some experience workers to get things running. The six beautiful graduates would be the one to please you while the other five older women would do most of the work.

Twenty minutes into the test, the tune of the messages change again and you do not hesitate to raise the volume even more. You have placed some safeguards in your techniques to confirm that the women were all in a highly suggestible state. Through the subliminal message on the test paper and the whispers, you compelled the women to scribble a few words on the spare paper you provided.

The test itself is a rather simple one that does not require any additional materials. The spare paper was only here for you to confirm whether the women have all fallen into this state.

-"I want to work for this company."

-"I want to work for John Doe."

-"John Doe is a great person and I must not question his actions."

-"This interview is perfectly normal and I must comply with the instructions to be hired."

-"I trust John Doe and his decision."
