The arcade

"I know! Let's go to the arcade!" Megan decided, yanking Paige along. "Boys like you love the arcade, don't you?"

"I'm not a boy!" Paige pointed out, exasperated. "Cut the stupid act and let me go!"

"Too late: we're here!" Megan said, yanking Paige into the arcade.

Music blared as they entered the neon lit building. It was a converted warehouse full of video games of all sorts. As a college age girl obsessed with being cool and trendy, Paige had never been here. In fact, she wouldn't normally be caught dead here. As such, she was surprised how crowded it was. Dozens of people, mostly guys, were playing games.

Among the group that was there was a group of friends Paige had seen around. They were all 19, a few years younger than Paige. They didn't go to college though: they were just deadbeat townies and well known troublemakers. Losers in Paige's eyes. To Paige's growing dismay, Megan pulled her straight towards them...
