The answer comes to them.

The four stared shocked over the mountain and toward the light. It was close. The light suddenly faded and vanished.

Marle: What in the world was that?!

Glen: I do not know. It is akin to the glow of the Masamune. This however bears a more sinister feel. We would do well to be prepared for combat.

Lucca: But, you're not armed.

Glen: Aye, but a true knight can battle without weapons, if need be. I shall simply use my fists.

An eerie red glow came out into a clearing at the foot of the mountain. The four prepared for battle, but relaxed some when the glow got close enough to recognize the source.

Marle: Ozzy?

The fat green toad-like creature laughed. It was hard to believe Ozzy would make such a glow, yet no one could deny he was.

Ozzy: You will not address me so familiarly! I am Ozzy, the great! Wait. I remember you three! You are the children who humiliated my comrades and I! Well, this time, you will leave in disgrace. That is, if I decide to spare your lives! HA HA HA HA!!

Lucca: Why are you glowing?

Ozzy: I am glowing, interrupting child, because I now wield the all-powerful Masamune!

The four were silent.

Ozzy: That's right! I, Ozzy the great, now possess the strongest sword in all the world! And you four are speechless with fright!

Marle: NO, we just know you're bluffing, you toad!

Ozzy: TOAD!? I will show you that I am not bluffing!

Ozzy pulled the sword from the sheath on his belt, accidentally loosening it and sending his pants to his ankles. He looked down and pulled them up, glaring at Crono and company. He thrust the sword forward, hoping to take the emphasis off of his faux-pas. Glen examined it.

Glen: It...is indeed the Masamune!

The four's eyes all widened in surprise.

Ozzy: HAHAHA!!! That's right! Now you understand the situation! With the Masamune in my hands, I cannot fail! Now, all three of you. Come on!
