The Worst Week You Remember

See, a few months ago you were having an awful week. It was just one of those weeks that no matter what everything seemed to go wrong. Every turn you faced some form of adversity, and every time you managed to have the smallest success, a mountain of hurt and sadness would crash down atop you. You lost your girlfriend, you forgot to do homework, you failed a test, you burnt your dinner, everything just seemed to be going terribly.

The worst part about that week was at the end of the week at D&D. Your friends could tell you were having a bad time, so they hoped a round of adventuring and some fun times together would brighten your day at least a little. The problem was that you seemed to just have a black could of negativity surrounding you. Your rolls were horrible, you got knocked **** twice, you got two members of the party arrested on accident. It was at that point that you loudly screamed out in anger, stomping in fury and rage out the door. You had gotten down about two blocks when suddenly you felt a hand grab yours. There, right behind you was Anna with one of the rarest things to see on Anna; a frown. She grabbed you and pulled you into a tight hug.

"Matthew, I know today isn't going right for you. I know you had an awful day. But... Well... Please. Stay around. I know today must be frustrating but I want to be there for you. I don't want you to leave. I've seen to many friends who had terrible times and leave not to come back. Please. Please. Stay here. I wanna be there for you."

If anyone asked about what happened between you two, you both would stay quiet. You would never admit how much you needed to hear someone cared for you, you would never admit your tears fell onto her shoulders, and you would never admit that it was that day you realized that the person you cared for most in this world was your friend Anna.
