The Winds of Change; The Fate of Bellemare

It was turning into a real tragic day for Cocoyashi village, Captain Arlong and his Fishmen pirate crew have laid siege to the peaceful and helpless village. As soon as he landed on the Island he decreed that there would be a tax (extortion life insurance) of 100,000 beli a head, and 50,000 for children. As they came by and went through house to house to collect, they found thier way to the home of Bellemare, a former Marine and current tangerine farmer. While she managed to get the drop on Arlong he was easily able to help turn the tables with his Fishemen powers. They discovered her treausre trove, just enough to save herself but she chose to sacrifice herself for her adopted daughters Nami and Nojiko.

So here they all were, Genzo the town mayor and friend of the family, restraining the little girls that wanted to runs towards the women they called mother. Said mother was on her knees slightly injured, yet content and happy even as Arlong looks over her with pistol in hand pointed at her head. The outcome seemed inevitable, until one of Arlong crew stepped forward and some out, much to everyone's surprise.

"Captain, if I may be so bold...?", said a tall muscular Tiger Shark Fishman with actual black stripes and orangw and white skin with whiskers. A bit more handsome then most of the others by human standerds.

"What is it Sherack, I hope your not going suggest I spare this puny humans life?", Arlong asked both in irritation and sarcasm, his crew laughing at his dry humor.

"Oh, not at all captain. At least not for free and out of the goodness of your heart", Sherack replied with his own sarcastic humor.

"What are talking about", Arlong asked in confusion and some curiosity, holstering his pistol and giving the other Fishman his undivided attention.

"Now don't get me wrong captain", Sherack assured his leader,"not only did she fail to pay her tax, she dared to accost you. Thus her life is forfeit, though that doesn't necessarily mean that we kill, I mean of course we can, but why simply dispose of her when you can own her. After all her life is in your hands and yours do to do with as you please. Even though she has no more money she still posses some value."

Arlong crosses his arms and narrows his eyes in frustrated irritation. "Is there a point to any of this?"

"What I'm saying is, that this has been a really good day, a cause for celebration, and what better way to celebrate thennwith some enentertainment? "Sherarck asked rhetorically as he looked at the human woman with a predatory smile.

Arlong lifted a brow loomed back at the humans, seeing the looks of shock and disgust, and greator fear on thier faces while the children were just confused and afraid. Then he looked towards the rest of the crew and noticed how they all liked the idea, though only a few actually tried to hide thier eagerness with some sense of professionalism, waiting for the captain's say.

"Shahahahahah", Arlong laughed, "that's one of the most cruel and depraved ideas I have ever heard, and I love it! Shahahaha, very well bring her along we are celebrating tonight"

Two Fishmen walked over and grabbed and dragged her with them. Nami was able to break away from Genzo and for only to stopped by Along. As she bumbed into Arlong her sea chart fell out of her pocket and was discovered by Hatchan. Upon realizing her talent with map making, he ordered her to be brought with them too.

Arlong noticed Sherark talking to the other little girl, but couldn't make it out what was said. Soon the Tiger Shark Fishman returned to the group.

"What was that about?", he asked.

"Oh nothing much, just assuring the girl that i would speak with my captain and convince him to allow visitation rights for her to see her family again", Sherark said as he grinned with an evil glint in his eye. "I bet if we offer the same deal to them they will be quite motivated to perform above and beyond thier new duties to the crew"

Arlong smirked, wrapping an arm around his shoulder. "Brother, your going to go far in the Arlong Pirates, Shahahaha!
