Chapter 5
by
The Archmaester
Who is your first victim?
The Wicked Witch
"Well, go big or go home." You muttered to yourself before you teleported to Evernight Castle in the Land of Darkness, the abode of the Queen of Grimm and her abominations. With its blood red skies and inhospitable environment, this was a godforsaken place, quite literally. Not above making a grand entrance, a terrible earthquake rattled the rocky ground and a series of lightning strikes split the crimson skies as the forces of nature heralded your arrival. The purple-tinted windows of Salem's conference hall shattered under the **** of the gale like winds, sending sharp glass flying everywhere before you dramatically emerged from a pillar of blinding white light.
Salem was alone in her throne room, pondering the best course of action to divide humanity. It was several years before the start of Volume 1, so she had yet to assemble her little Inner Circle. Arthur Watts was still a respectable scientist in Atlas, not far away from Tyrian Callows who was rotting in an Atlesian prison. Hazel Reinart was mourning the **** of his recently departed sister in Vale while Cinder was... Well, you'll deal with her very soon.
"Greetings, Salem." You greeted politely as you stepped out of the light, arms outstretched like a magnanimous lord. The Queen of Grimm held a defensive stance as she eyed you warily. After all, only Ozpin and his four Maidens were capable of such feats of magic and she wondered if you were friend or foe.

"State your business, stranger." Salem demanded, eyeing you with growing intrigue.
"Well... There's no point in niceties. I am here to fuck the most powerful woman in the world." You stated with a smirk, making the queen recoil in surprise and disgust.
"You must be a child if you think your brusque manners would ensorcell me. I will have your tongue for your insolen..."
"I know everything about you, Salem." You slowly approached her, oblivious to the protective **** field that she had casted around herself as you easily broke through it and came face to face with the pale-skinned woman. "You and I know the truth. That you do not want to rule the world. You do not seek power. Because deep down, you're just a scared child still trying to escape daddy's tower."

Salem paused as the memory of her captivity overwhelmed her and for just a splint second, she felt like she was a helpless child and back in that lonely tower. And then she let out a chilling shriek and to your utmost surprise, you found yourself being knocked off your feet and sent flying across the room by the sheer power of Salem's fury. Her purple throne broke your fall, shattering in the process, forcing the wind out of your lungs.
Shocked by the sudden outburst, you were momentarily dazed as you tried to pick yourself back up but realized that you couldn't.
Your hands and feet were stuck in a black tar-like substance, keeping you on your knees before her. The substance was scorching hot and to your horror, you realized that Salem was trying to drain you of your divine powers. And it was slowly working. Clearly, you weren't as omnipotent as you believed. You began to feel weak and weary as your lightheaded mind was incapable of forming a coherent thought. You raised your head and your blurry eyes could make out Salem speaking as she stood in front of you, however, your ringing ears couldn't understand what she was saying. Maybe, she was casting a spell to keep you sedated or perhaps she was just gloating.
You didn't give her a chance to try.
With a strength that you didn't know you possess, you summoned enough willpower to break free from Salem's influence and unleashed a blast of silvery light, destroying every grimm monsters in a hundred mile radius. Part-grimm herself, Salem was knocked to the ground, writhing in pain as the destructive corruption of the Pool of Grimm was cleansed from her body. Salem clutched her arms as the black veins on her skin faded away and she became more human, though her irises remain red and her hair was now more gold than silver.
"Did you think that your gods, the Brothers Grimm, were the most powerful beings in existence?" You growled ominously, your eyes flaring red as your rage fed the monster within. The black substances had come from the Pools of Annihilation and while it didn't turn you into a Grimm abomination, it certainly made you more wrothful. "If you had asked nicely, I would have made you mortal and given you a clean, painless **** but now... I think I might keep you around for the rest of eternity."
