The Ultra-Humanite

The Ultra-Humanite, real name Gerard Shugel, was Superman’s original bad guy. He was a crippled mad scientist who made up for his weak body (and hair) with intellect and evil. In the real world, an artist mixed up him and Lex Luthor, which was why the red headed war profiteer Lex Luthor became a bald mad scientist.

In one of their earliest encounters, the Ultra-Humanite was nearly killed in an explosion, but he had discovered beforehand a type of surgery that could put someone’s mind into another’s. He and his henchmen used actress Delores Winters, who had previously been a **** and ransom victim, as the first test subject, and so the Ultra-Humanite left his crippled old male body and went into young and gorgeous new female body. He eventually settled on using the body of a mutated albino ape as his main body, with Delores’ being kept in a special container to keep her fresh, in case he needed her.

However, it was never enough, as the Ultra-Humanite always strived for one thing: Superman’s body, which was possibly the most powerful on earth. The problem was that Humanite could never obtain enough Kryptonite, to weaken and subdue Superman, to perform the intense surgery. Recently, though, Humanite came up with the idea of an automated mind switcher, one that could easily swap minds without the need for surgery. It was perfect! He spent months building it, and now was the time for action!
