The Test

The next day, Naruto woke up at mind. He had to be at the training field an hour ago, but, thanks to Venom, he knew that Kakashi would have been late, so he planned ahead. He even knew not to listen to Kakashi and eat breakfast.

He left at 9:45 and headed for training field 7, not before grabbing something for Sakura, knowing that she wouldn't eat anything. He arrived at the training field at exactly 10 and was immediately berated by the loud shrieking of Sakura.

"You're late!" Sakura shrieked. Sasuke grimaced at the sound.

"How are we late?" Naruto asks, smirking, "Kakashi isn't here, is he? We can't be late if we're here before our sensei."

Sakura was fuming at his words. She moved towards him, preparing to strike him, but before she could, Naruto grabbed her by the throat and squeezed, cutting off her airway.

"If you ever hit us again," he growled, the symbiote, attached to his face and changing his voice into his masked voice, "without any provocation, we'll snap you like the twig you are. We don't even know why we ever liked you. You are a pitiful excuse of a ninja. All you care about is getting Sasuke to fuck you, even though he'd only do that if you strapped him down and **** him. Why don't you just quit. It's either that or train, because if you keep up like this, you're gonna die the first time we get a mission outside of the village."

"Now, now Naruto," Kakashi said, looking up from his book, "She's your teammate and you should help her, not hurt."

Naruto reached into his jacket and pulled out a metal box, "You're going to need all the energy you can get," he said, dropping the box in front of her and looked up to Kakashi, "There, we helped her."

"And what about Sasuke? Did you bring any for him?"

"We thought he would have been smart enough to eat, but we guess we were wrong, besides, we know for a fact that she's been dieting and she needs it more."

"Okay then," Kakashi says, putting away his book and taking out two bells, "For this test, you will have to get these two bells from me. You have until noon."

"But Kakashi-sensei," Sakura says after finishing a mouthful, "There are only two bells."

"Yes, the one that doesn't get a bell will be tied to one of those stumps and will then be sent back to the academy. Just to warn you, you won't get a bell if you don't come at me, with intent to kill."

"But Kakashi-sensei," Sakura whined, "You could get hurt."

"He's a Jounin, you stupid bitch," Naruto chuckled, "You actually think we can hurt him?"

"Anyway, the test starts now."

Sasuke and Sakura immediately ran for the trees, leaving Naruto and Kakashi in the open.

"You know the test has begun?"

"Of course," Naruto said, Venom covering his face and shifting into the bodysuit, "I wanted to show you how serious I was."

Naruto jumped at Kakashi, firing a kind of web at him, and pulled him into his fist. The moment Kakashi impacted, he erupted into white smoke, revealing himself to just being a shadow clone. While Naruto's attention was focused on the smoke, he was hit with shuriken and kunai before he himself dissipated. The one visible eye of the real Kakashi widened in shock, until a black fist smashed into his face. Naruto then shot a web-line and pulled Kakashi back for another strike, only for him to substitute himself with a log, which was turned to splinters on impact.

A scream could be heard in the trees and Naruto sighed as he knew it was Sakura. He rushed towards the sound and found her lying on the ground, twitching. She was obviously caught in a genjutsu. Slapping the back of her head, breaking the illusion. She lifted herself up and looked at Naruto who had forgotten to lower the mask, causing her to scream again.

"Sakura," Naruto said, holding her mouth shut, "It's me, Naruto. It's only a suit."

"Where's Sasuke?" she shrieked, "He's hurt badly."

"It was only a Genjutsu. He's fine, we think. We came for you first. Here," he handed Sakura the bells, "I got them while he was distracted. Give one of them to Sasuke."

"But what about you?"

He clasps her shoulder and retracts the living mask, giving her a foxy grin, "Don't worry about me. Just go."

He leapt back into the trees and went to the three stumps. Kakashi was there with Sasuke next to him, well, his head.

"I was wondering when you would come back," Kakashi said smugly, "Ready for round two."

"Why? The test is over," Naruto said, looking down at where the bells used to be.

"But how? I didn't even hear them move."

"I used Venom to hold them still so they wouldn't make a sound. I have them to Sakura, so she could give one to Sasuke."

"That means you'll be tied to the post."

Shrugging, Naruto said, "I can take it."

"Ok then, I guess you... pass. Your willingness to sacrifice yourself for your team shows you can work together."

"It does," Naruto thought.

"Meet back here tomorrow for your first mission. Dismissed."

Naruto walked away, leaving Sakura to dig Sasuke out of the ground.
