The Spell - Reiventing yourself, reinventing others

Ethan smiled as he stared at the statue of Janus. He could sense that his spell was taking a different direction than he had originally anticipated. Which was to be expected when you gain your magic from a chaos god.

He had sold far more costumes than he had even dreamed of. He had expected everyone to change into their costumes but now Janus was taking a slightly different route. People would change all right but not from the perspective of the costume. Instead the magic would flow from person to person throughout the night. Everyone would change based upon what that one persons ideas of their costume was.

It was a tiny wrinkle to be sure. An outside observer might think nothing had changed at all. But Ethan knew well that sometimes it was the smallest changes that caused the most chaos.

He certainly expected many of the females to go in a radically different direction when a man became in charge of the power.
