The Sky Deck

Nick got to the sky deck and saw Emily by herself, she was leaning over the railing, looking out at the water. Nick could see that she was smoking.

'Okay, she's a smoker, guess she's not perfect' thought Nick

Nick walked over to Emily and tapped her on the shoulder. She turned around and Nick saw that what she was smoking wasn't a cigarette, it was a joint.

"You smoke weed?" asked Nick

"Yeah, I smoke it whenever I get stressed or nervous, want some?" asked Emily

"No thanks" said Nick

'So, she smokes weed, not tobacco, that's fine, at least it's safer' thought Nick

"So, Jonah's going to be fine?" asked Emily

"He's gonna be fine, he had an allergic reaction to the garnish on his dish" said Nick

"Okay, I was really worried" said Emily

"If you don't mind me asking, how did you and Jonah meet?" asked Nick

"It was 2 years ago, I was working part time as a waitress, Jonah came in one day and he was super sweet, I gave him my number and he called me the next day" said Emily

"Do you love him?" asked Nick, dreading what her answer might be

"I don't know yet, I think I can see myself spending the rest of my life with him, but, I'm not fully sure, that's why I haven't given him my virginity" said Emily

Emily took a hit from her joint before asking Nick a question.

"So, you know that I'm a virgin, but what about you?" asked Emily

"I'm definitely not a virgin, if that's what you're asking" said Nick

"I figured, but what's your story? How'd you lose it? What was it like?" asked Emily

"It was with a girl my friend was trying to set me up with, it was super awkward because I didn't really feel anything for her, I only did it because of peer pressure" said Nick

"Anyone else?" asked Emily

"A few, I felt less awkward over time, I've had a few one night stands, and a few girlfriends, but nothing that lasted" said Nick

"I'm so sorry to hear that" said Emily

"Don't be, it never ended badly, we always parted on good terms" said Nick

"That's good" said Emily

Emily took another hit from her joint before putting it out.

"Hey, there's supposed to be a show at the showroom, you wanna see it?" asked Emily

"Sounds good" said Nick

The duo went towards the showroom.
