The Shaming of Dathomir

For its first mission, OOM-947 was tasked with providing support during the battle of Dathomir. The Nightsisters of the planet have enacted **** attempts against the leader of the Separatist movement Count Dooku. In response, the Count has ordered General Grievous to launch an invasion of the planet, neutralizing the Nightsisters and capturing his former apprentice Asajj Ventress.

OOM-947 was assigned to the battle with its company to provide support for the droid general. Along with other droid companies, it would land with the rear landing craft and deploy in the back ranks of the army, reinforcing it and providing support for any losses the main **** group sustained.

Upon landing on the foggy plain, the sounds of heavy fighting could be heard from the rear lines. Disembarking from the landing craft, OOM and its company marched to group up with the other rear forces behind for main **** currently fighting. Marching closer, the sounds of fighting grew louder as blaster shots raced through the air, the Nightsisters crying out in fury and, to the surprise of the droid commander, an army of the dead that charged towards the forces. While their blaster would stun the living sisters, they were completely ineffective against the lifeless corpses rushing them.

The fighting came to a stop however, when the Droid General stepped off his ship and stood before the Dark Apprentice, the latter's comrades coming to a stop behind her.

"Surprised?" Ventress asks the general.

"Hardly," he replies "YOU'RE the one I was sent here for."

"Then fight me alone." she challenges, pointing one of her sabers to the general. "Prove you're the greater warrior. If I win, your army leaves. I you win, the Nightsisters will surrender to you."

"I have always been greater than you!" he declares, detaching his arms from each other and drawing four sabers, laughing as he did so.

As the two leaders fought one another, the droid forces under the command of OOM slowly made their way around the Nightsisters, quietly surrounding them while their attention was focused with either the fight before them or tending to their fallen sisters. Should the General lose his fight, there was little chance that the droids would simply leave system with their objective unfinished. It was better it be prepared for the eventual fight that would ensure should Grievous lost his duel.

That was, if he did manage to lose in the first place.
