Chapter 44 by whizzper whizzper

Any more encounters, or can the crew set sail with the tide?

The Scrap...

About an hour after James had given Mr. Michaels permission to take the shell apart James walked into the galley for some juice. "Hello Sasha, how are you?"

Sasha didn't answer, instead just continued to look at a scrap of ripped paper.

"Sasha? Are you okay?" James asked, concerned.

"Hmm? Oh, yes. Just confused I had wrote this on a list of supplies for the Captain. I don't even know what it means." She said.

"Let me see." James said calmly.

"Okay." Sasha said, handing the scrap to James.

"Let's see here..." James looked at it, and raised his eye brows immediately. "Well...this is a chemical compound. The H2O is water...whatever the reaction is, it creates water. I...I think that's Sulfuric acid. Very dangerous that." James looked up at Sasha, who looked at him with confused eyes.

"But...why would I write that? Especially last on a list that included a chicken coop?"

James stared, trying to remember something from one of his grandfather's books, one by some ancient scientist on Old Earth named Jules Verne, "Sasha...I...I think this is a formula for a type of explosive. Mr. Michaels! I think I know how my grandfather did it!"

What's Mr. Michaels response?
