The Rules of Sin

During the first day in her new cell, a black-robed man appeared to explain their new future to Mei and the other maidens.

He first told them of where they were, the Hidden Town of Sin, and then proceeded to explain how there were only four kind of females here.

The first were the Sect Members. There was no way for the maidens here to become one nor any reason to see one in the future, as the female members were restricted to an external zone. An unreachable position to those possible sword himes.

The second were the Town Guests. Those were the female "customers" of the town, and there was also no need for the maidens to know anything about them aside from recognizing their special recognition badge, which gave both male and female Town Guest their status as such.

The third were the Owned Slaves. Those were the slaves owned by a specific establishment in the town, and were restricted to such building unless their owner said otherwise.

The fourth and last were the Free Slaves. Those were the slaves owned by the town itself and could be considered the "citizens" of the town. They were free to walk around the town as if they were guests and work in any establishment. However to eat, rent a room or anything else they had to pay with the special currency of the town, though there were also some free lodgings where, in exchange for certain conditions, one could eat and sleep as one wanted.

The special currency of the town were the Sin Marks, gained from Town Guests or by working at the establishments, and with enough of them slaves could buy back their freedom, though the sum needed was exorbitant.

In the future those possible sword himes would be auctioned away, and those who remained would become either an Owned or a Free ****.

Once he was done explaining he turned back and walked away, leaving Mei and the other maidens to themselves.
