The Ruins

They dropped off Trax at a safe village and after retrieving the map from Talon's home, the trio of DEBUG_HERO, Kathra, and Talon continued their quest for the ring of Daenar. It was another week of travelling before they reached this destination. A week that went much smoother than the initial leg of DEBUG_HERO's journeys for this ring. It was even better for the company. "Talon, care to open the doors for us?" DEBUG_HERO asked with a dramatic sweeping bow.

"It's locked," she said.

"Unlock it then," DEBUG_HERO said.

"I don't know how," she said simply.

DEBUG_HERO blinked at her, "But I thought," he trailed off. He sighed. He doubted Kathra knew how, so it was up to him to use what little skill he had gleaned from Sara growing up. He found himself missing his other companions.

After a few minutes of tinkering and much trial and error, DEBUG_HERO got the lock to click open. It was quickly followed by a clunk and Zip! Only DEBUG_HERO who had been listening intently to the clicking of the lock, noticed the odd noises in time to duck. An arrow embedded itself in Kathra's shoulder. Another was sticking out of Talon's collar.

"Fuck," Talon said before toppling over like a rag doll.

"They're poisoned. I can feel it beginning to effect me,' Kathra informed. She slouched against the wall, "Take care of her, quickly if you want her to live. It is strong."

"What about you?" DEBUG_HERO asked as he removed the arrow from Talon.

"My people are a hardy folk, resistant to most forms of poisons. I will live, but I expect it will be an unpleasant day or two for me. This stuff is strong," her voice was beginning to slur.
