The Robin Signal

It's approaching midnight and is the thunder rocking through the sky of endless cloud suddenly broken by the Bat Signal but not as we know it , blood red instead of black, Ivy was sending Robin a message and he was recieving loud and clear, he stood up jumped on the Red Bird and headed towards the signal. Elsewhere in Wayne Manor Bruce has just woken up and was still woozy but was being nursed by Alfred and Barbara "Are you ok sir?" Asks Alfred "Yes, I'm fine thanks to you, what happened?", "You were poisoned sir, the same toxin that killed the security guards in Arkham", "Where's Pamela?" Bruce asks, "She left sir shortly after you were poisoned and after you had authorised a transfer of your entire estate to her, luckily I was able to stop the transfer", Bruce looks at Alfred "Why would she do that, I thought she loved me?", Alfred replaces the cold compress on Bruce's head "Rest now sir we can sort all of the details out later".

Robin arrives at the entrance to the Turkish Baths, it's like an exotic jungle lush, inviting, mysterious. He passes the giant bird signal chained to the door, the spotlight shutting out as he disappears inside. Giant floral fans spin leaf curtains undulate. Fruits burst with color in the center of the cave, there's a giant pink flower at the end of a pool with lilypads the flower is closed as Robin approaches it's blooms revealing Ivy inside she's magnificent revelling in her glory. Ivy touches the buds surrounding her they all instantly blossom. "Hi there..." Ivy smiles "Is your thumb the only part of you that's green?" Asks Robin, Ivy looks up she smiles "You will just have to find out" Ivy extends her hand Robin makes his way across the lily pads.

Ivy like a siren coos "I'm glad you came I can't breathe without you." Robin utterly entranced "I want us to be together but I need to know you're serious about turning over a new leaf I need a sign." Robin climbs onto the flower bed his face inches from Ivy it's incredible she's got him so wrapped up she's not even having to seduce him he's putting himself on a platter "How about dangerous curves? Or Slippery when wet?" She laughs "Of trust tell me your plan." Ivy brings her face agonisingoy close to his "Kiss me and I'll tell you" his lips are quivering but he's trying to play it cool "Tell me and I'll kiss you." , "Freeze has turned the new telescope into a freezing gun he's about to turn Gotham into an ice cube. I called you here to warn you this is your chance darling if you stop him without the Bat the you'll prove everything I've been telling you" Robin recoils "You're right I've got to stop him." Ivy pulls him back in holding his face "One kiss, my love. For luck." Robin can't resist. They kiss Ivy pulls back, holds his gaze Robin is in a daze, he can barely stand Ivy motions and vines descend holding him in place.

Back at Wayne Manor Bruce has been made aware of the Robin Signal and is trying to suit up he's clearly not 100% Alfred is trying to convince him to wait "Sir, the Venom has left you weak we have to be smart about this?" He shrugs Alfred off and heads into the cave. Bruce and Alfred approach the bat computer "First Ivy had an intoxicating effect on both Dick and I and I've felt the same about Pamela. I was so attracted to her I couldn't reason clearly I still can't. She used to work for Wayne Enterprises do we have a file" Alfred responds "Coming on line now, sir." A spinning Isley appears on the monitor. Bruce looks at the image he can't shift the waves of lust he's feeling "What was her area of research?" Study and report titles scroll up the side of the image. "Advanced botany, DNA splicing recombinant animal plant patterns, Pheromone extractions." "Pheromones?" Replies Bruce "Glandular secretions from animals scents that create powerful emotions. Fear. Rage...Passion. Of course find the photo of Ivy after the flower ball." A spinning Ivy appears beside the spinning Isley. Bruce pushes some buttons and the image begins to Deconstruct and resolve schematics of various features, finger and retina prints, height, weight, are highlighted and compared they all match.

Back at the Turkish baths Robin is in a daze suspended by the vines, Ivy stands up reaches into a bag and pulls out a red powder and blows it directly into his face Robin smiles, "I didn't tell you the full story, Batman is working with Freeze, he came to me, he tried to hurt me when I wouldn't go with him, his jealousy knows no bounds, I told him how much I love you and he said if he couldn't have me nobody could, you have to stop him my Robin", Robin smiles "What do you need me to do", Ivy smiles "Go to him my love, bring him here under the guise that you're going to stop me, he may try and turn you from me but that's only because he wants me for himself and when the time is right you'll know what to do" Robin looks at her lovingly "Prove your love Robin, bring me the Bat". The vines drop Robin, his gaze hasn't left Ivy's she waves him away "Now go, you have a job to do".

Meanwhile Freeze has shown up at the observatory he quickly subdues the scientists and security guards as Freeze gets to work on the alterations to the telescope. Batman is preparing to leave in the Batmobile when The Red Bird pulls up, Robin climbs off and approaches "Bruce, I know where she is and she's preparing to freeze the city we have to go", Batman looks at Robin "Are we back on the same page?", "Of course Bruce You're family to me, I'd never let anyone come between us..." Batman jumps in the Batmobile following Robin on the Red Bird.

Alfred watches them leave feeling pensive he goes upstairs and finds Barbara "Listen, I didn't want to do this but it seems Master Bruce and Master Dick have bitten off more than they can chew", "Howso?" Asks Baraba, "Please, can we drop the pretense it doesn't suit you, I took the liberty to create a suit in your size", Barbara's eyes light up "Thank you uncle Alfred", Alfred leads Barabara into the batcave.

Batman and Robin arrive at the Turkish baths they head inside Batman taking lead, Ivy is sat on a glorious floral throne "Well hi there handsome" she blows a kiss, Batman looks up "Ivy, we've found the cure to your pheromones, teamwork, it's over" she mocks him placing her hands on her cheeks in shock "The dynamic duo have come to get me ok then take me away" she puts her hands in the air and laughs "Although it seems your little friend disagrees with you" Batman turns but not quick enough, Robin pulled out a pocket knife handed to him by Ivy and shanks Batman straight in the gut, Ivy's grin widens, "kill him my love, kill him, take his cowel and bring it to me and you can finally get the kiss you deserve." Robin is swiping the knife at Batman again and again, with Batman dodging and trying to bring Robin to reason. Robin reaches for Batman's mask he misses but slashes it cutting it, Batman kicks Robin in the chest sending him into the water below the Lillypads, Batman approaches Ivy's throne, "You don't want to hurt me Batman, and jail is the last place you want to take me" she steps up stretching and blows pheromone dust in his face Batman begins to see Pamela and Ivy the images crossing over, Pamela strokes his face, Batman confused "I know you're Ivy, and I need to take you in" he brushes the illusion off, Ivy looks concerned for a second but the smile returns as Robin appears behind Batman and shanks him again, Robin reaches for Batman's mask and removes it...Ivy looks down in horror "BRUCE WAYNE? I KILLED YOU", Robin looks up confused Batman takes his opportunity and hits Robin with a back fist knocking him out, he turns still seeing the image of Pamela "I'm hard to kill just ask The Riddler or Two-Face, so Pamela you never loved me..." Ivy snorts trying to hold back laughter "Love you? I loathe your bipedal arrogance, your animal superiority. My only joy was thinking that my poison kiss was sucking the life from your ape-like face, but you didn't die..." she thinks for a second "I guess the transfer of Wayne Enterprises is off?" Bruce nods "Oh well there's plenty more billionaire fish in the sea" Bruce takes a step forward "Breaking your heart didn't kill you, how about breaking your neck?" Suddenly skulking out of the shadows comes Bane grabbing Batman around his throat Ivy laughs and claps like a spectator as she takes her seat again.

The weakened Batman is struggling to move Bane's hands even an inch let alone away from his neck "isn't it funny that after every naughty thought you've had about me it's Bane that's really taken your breath away" laughs Ivy. Suddenly Robin begins to get up and staggers his way over "Ah yes Birdie, be a dear and see that your pointy eared pal gets the message that we're over" she orders motioning with her slender fingers like directing a dog, still in a haze Robin looks at Bane and Batman struggling and swings wildly hitting Bane in the back of his head, Ivy looks on in shock, Bane shifts enough for Batman to be able to catch his breath and kick Bane away and finding his feet again "That you in there Dick?" He asks, "Yeah it's me I'm starting to think we've been played let's take down Chuckles here and then we can press the flower", the two start to gain the upper hand on Bane, Ivy can't believe what's happening as she gets up and tries to leave the ceiling above her smashes and a slender beautiful Blonde in a skin tight suit descends it's Barabara but now Batgirl she knocks Ivy down with a swift round house to the face "Using feminine wiles to get what you want? Trading on your looks? Exploiting men's weakness for sex? Read a book, sister that passive- aggressive crap went out a long time ago. Chicks like you give women a bad name." Ivy cracks a smile and swiftly grabs a vine swinging it like a whip wrapping it around Batgirl's leg pull her to the ground, "As I told Lady Freeze when I pulled her plug, this is a one woman show." Batgirl pulls the vine causing Ivy to tumble and roll she grabs the knife she'd given Robin and is now pointing it at Batgirl the two women are at a stalemate.

Batman and Robin have finally managed to subdue Bane ripping away the tubes that were constantly pumping Venom into his system they watch as he squirms muscles deflating and turn their attentions to Ivy. Ivy is slashing the knife at Batgirl who deftly dodges and eventually kicks the knife from her hand the three heroes face off with her "It's over Ivy" shouts Batman, Ivy laughs "You're right it is over Bruce, see I told your sidekick Freeze's plan...not mine" she motions her hands and the surrounding flora starts to move and shift suddenly a disgusting half man, half plant begins to emerge, his face partly covered in neon paint, more follow..."It's the neon gang but she's done something to them" shouts Robin, their faces now twisted, mouths like Venus fly traps vicious sharp teeth venom spewing out, vines wrapping their arms and legs "I hoped to leave them a bit longer to further the transformation but needs must...I might be a bit biased being their mother and all but aren't they beautiful" she coos, "These disgusting mammals want to hurt Mummy, turn them to compost, let there broken bodies feed my new Eden" she points at the heroes as the plant hybrids venture forward.

Batman, Robin and Barbara rush forward dropkicking the plant hybrids Batman narrowly avoids of them trying to bite him while kneeing another one in the face, Robin uppercuts one and takes out another's feet with a Red Bird, Batgirl has picked up Ivy's whip and has wrapped one of them up and kicked him to the ground batman ironically superman punches one of them into the pool below the Lilly's, Robin takes another down with a thunderous boot and Batgirl hits the last with a with a swift kick to the stomach, the three face Ivy again "Any other tricks up your sleeve?" Shouts Batgirl...Ivy smiles "Just the one" she motions to the ceiling and a plant opens dropping what can best be described as a Pheromone bomb, 10, 20, 30 maybe even 40x the dose she'd given Batman and Robin before the heroes are dazed even Batgirl is feeling something for Ivy, Batman is looking up at Ivy but he's distracted by a vision of Pamela whispering sweet nothings in his ear, Robin is seeing Ivy stripping again like their first meeting "Well, well this has been fun but I think it's time we started to see other people but don't worry boys I'll never be far once you've been scratched by Poison Ivy you never get rid of the itch" she exaggerates a big kiss "Buh Bye" and with that she escapes.

Ivy is long gone by the time heroes are able to compose themselves but they make the decision stopping Freeze is more important than going after Ivy despite how much Batman and Robin wanted to and they head to Gotham Observatory.
