The Restaurant

You decide to head to the restaurant. You hand the driver your bags and he gives you a dirty look. You were told you could hand your bags to be kept safe until later, but you feel a bit guilty.

The resort is as good as you can get. It’s so warm but it’s not the type of heat that’s gonna make you die of exhaustion. You buy a cold drink from the stand for $2. The rooms may be free, but any activity or food you purchase outside of the resort’s main facility aren’t covered. You can’t complain too much, it’s not like you’re going to be spending more than you can afford.

I guess that’s karma for you. The first restaurant you see has prices for rich people. You could kill for a steak right now, but you would also be killing your bank account. There should be something else around here.

“Hey, Miles!” You turn around to see Tatania walking up you in a bright red dress.

“Hi, Tatania. You’ve dressed up today.”

“Well, a restaurant such as this one has a dress code. It’s not like you could stroll in with what you’re wearing.”

“That’s true. So you chose to eat as soon as you got here?”

“If you say it like that, it sounds like I’m a slob. It’s just I really want to try the food here. I know Ashley went to the beach, Sofia went to the lights show and everyone else went to the hotel. I just didn’t want to do those things just yet.”

“Same here. I could really go for sushi right now. I swear I heard people talking about it.”

“Can I join you?” She asks. “I know I said I wanted to try this food, but I really don’t want to eat alone. No one wants to overpay on this vacation so I don’t have anyone to go with.”

“For sure. I really do want to get to know you more.” Tatania blushes a little.

“Thank you! Let’s go then.” You and Tatania head towards the restaurant and talk the whole way. After enjoying the best sushi you’ve ever tasted, you both exit the restaurant.

“I really had a nice time tonight, Tatania.”

“Same here! So, where are you staying tonight?”

“My room of course.”

“Uhhh, did you not hear?”

“Hear what?” You have no idea what she’s talking about. Maybe she’s playing a prank?

“There was some kind of bug infestation in the room you’re staying at. Did no one tell you?”

“Fuck! Thanks for telling me. Do you mind if I stay at your place tonight? I’m sure they’ll have it cleaned by tomorrow. I won’t cause trouble.”

“Of course. You wanna go now?”

“Sure.” You and Tatania head towards her room. How lucky did you get? You get to spend the night with Tatania!
