Chapter 2 by JackOfSpades JackOfSpades

If this is your first time, I'd recommend looking at the Pocketbook and Character Sheet before continuing on to Issue 1 :)

The Pocketbook

Primary Stats:

  • Intelligence
  • Sensory
  • Strength
  • Agility
  • Willpower
  • Charisma

Stats have default values and are upgraded by discovering abilities and effects or upgrading abilities or effects.

There are 3 primary super power slots. Mechanical. Physical. Interpersonal.

  • Mechanical slots are limited by Intelligence and Sensory stats.
  • Physical slots are limited by Strength and Agility stats.
  • Interpersonal slots are limited by Willpower and Charisma stats.

You begin with one physical and one mechanical slot open to be discovered. Your interpersonal ability has already been chosen for you. The longer that a slot is available, the more likely that the power will "come to you" instead of you creating or discovering it yourself, for better or worse.

Abilities and effects that augment both your powers and your person are able to be discovered or trained. Your power set rewards experimentation. Doing so will level up your subsequent stats, increase the efficacy of your current powers, and increase your physical capabilities.

Be wary, the stronger you are, the stronger the heroes that come after you will be. You can see the total stat levels of people that you meet, provided they do not have some way of blocking this from your view.

Lastly, rather than ****, you now will be respawned at your designated base with your progress to stat increases or training progress reset to its current level and a temporary decrease in training effectiveness. This debuff increases exponentially if despawned multiple times in a short window. The only way to permanently die is to have your designated spawn point destroyed before you are killed. Guard it well.

Your starting base is the basement beneath 'The Watering Hole,' a sports bar you now own just outside of town. If you want to change your designated base at a later date you can. Until you are more established as a super villain, this will serve as a plausible alibi and a base of operations. The perks should be to your liking.

If this is your first time, I'd look at the character sheet and then continue to the story!
