Egypt - 1920

The Great War had finally ended, and the British Empire tried to catch its breath. Its overseas holdings were in turmoil from the cost of the war, and from a few opportunists looking to take advantage of its weakness. The nobility too turned their eyes to rebuilding their houses in these modern times, and to recapture the glory of the old empire. Inevitably, some looked to the colonies for treasure or simply adventure. Most of those expeditions ended in failure of course, furthering the decline of Britain as a world power.

Our story begins with one such expedition somewhere south of Cairo, led by a young heir to a minor house who thinks they may have finally found something.
