The Party Aftermath

In the following weeks after your birthday party, you recognize a very clear change in Natalie's attitude towards you. When she first arrived, she made it clear that she was your teacher. However, she still treated you as a friend. Unfortunately, due to the events of the last couple of weeks; that attitude has changed. During class, she no longer smiles and speaks to you warmly and instead treats you like any other student. She hasn't made any surprise visits and has pretty much cut all contact outside school. She clearly has no love for Olivia. Although you hope that doesn't make Olivia's life harder in her class.

Speaking of Olivia...Your relationship with her has never been better! You had worried that the sudden reappearance of your closest female friend other than her would put a strain on your love life. Yet despite Natalie and Olivia not getting along, she has been closer to you than she has ever been previously. It seem as if the fears of her getting super jealous of Natalie has not come to fruition...at least not yet.

As September ends, it isn't time to get comfortable just yet. You may have a comfortable relationship with Olivia and plenty of time to improve things, but your friendship with Natalie is heavily strained. You still have eight months of your senior year yet, but at any point things may change dramatically. The worst part is that if things continue the way they are with Natalie, she may never speak or look at you the same way again. Should that happen, hopefully nothing happens with your relationship with Olivia or you may be stuck with no female friend in your life.
