The Orris Caves.

You step into the mouth of the cave, moving away from the natural light at the mouth and lighting your own torch, casting a dim orange glow onto the grey stone. The passage beneath your feet is smooth, and littered with few rocks and stones, a stark reminder that this cave is not natural; but carved out of the mountain by the dwarves of Orrismorn.

After a few minutes of walking through the tunnel, it widens into a larger cavern. The roof and walls of the cave are reinforced with heavy-looking wooden beams, and various mining equipment such as hammers, picks, and drills are scattered across the stone floor.

As you stand amidst the ruins of the mineshaft, a faint sound reaches your ears; quiet padding sounds. Closing your eyes and straining your hearing, you can almost make it out as it gets closer. It almost sounds like... footfalls!

You immediately realise that someone, or something, has found you. It would probably be best to find a place to hide.
