The Next Morning

Bill woke up the next morning feeling as if he had just slept heavy. He assumed that the events of the previous night were a particularly vivid dream. He got out of bed, relieved himself & brushed his teeth.

"Hey Bill, what'd you do last night?" Yelled Kerri from the other room.

[Kerri was Bill's girlfriend, they've been together happily for a couple of years. Kerri is a 5'-4" brunette with B-cup breasts and a thick booty]

Bill emerged from the bedroom to see what Kerry was talking about. There was a path of dried mud tracked into the house from the back door through the kitchen and ending at his boots in the middle of the living room.

"I...I don't know" said Bill.

"What do you, they're your boots." She laughed.

"Well I know that, but I don't know how mud got tracked in...I wish I did."

There was a noise like rushing water in Bill's ears for a moment as his head was filled with the missing information. Kerri was still talking but her voice was muffles. He tracked the mud in after his encounter with ship in the woods.

"Bill. Bill? You okay?" She asked

"Uh, yea. I tracked in the mud, sorry". He said slightly puzzled.

"No big deal, just clean it up please. I gotta go, I'm gonna be late to work." and with that, Kerri exited the front door.

Bill stood there for a moment. What the hell was that in his head, what happened last night. There was that rushing water noise again and he knew he encountered the artifact. An object that existed from the dawn of time that shapes reality. It was discovered by a long dead civilization and ejected into the far reaches of space to ensure no one would come into contact with it, until it impacted the Earth, Bill found it and it merged with him.

"Bullshit." Bill said out loud. After a second Bill's nostrils were filled with an offensive odor. He looked at the floor and there was a sizable pile of bull shit sitting there. His eyes widened.

"I can change all reality..." he thought. More rushing water in his ears. "Stop, randomly popping thoughts into my head is disorienting" he thought. Suddenly there was another voice in his head.

"Is this better" it asked.

"Yes, much better...what are, uh, you?"

"I am the same knowledge that was previously flooding your mind, I have simply been personified now in order to make things easier on you."

"Well, that makes things easier...so, I can change all reality?"

"No, the fragment of the artifact you merged with has a limited maximum area of effect."

"Okay...so, what is the range?"

"0.63 AU".

"What the fuck is AU?"

"One AU is 0.00001581 light years"

"What is that in miles?!"

"One AU is 92.96 million miles, the maximum range of the artifact fragmemt is roughly 58 million miles."

"Wow, good enough."

Bill looked at the dried mud on the floors, it vanished.
