The Morning after...

“Hnnnnnnnnnnnngh….”

Slowly opening his eyes, Thor Odinson could hear the muffled, blurry sounds of people trying to speak to him. Looking up, he found a pair of shapes coming into focus, the scared faces of Tigra and Wasp waving their hands over his face to see if he were awake, their voices seeming far away until they became clearer.

“Thor? THOR! Oh, thank goodness you’re ALIVE!”

“Can you hear us big guy? How many fingers am I holding up?”

Slowly blinking his eyes and turning his head to look around and see where he was, the Asgardian grimaced when he realised everything hurt, unable to move. Splayed out in the ruins of Jennifer Walter’s bed, the man was naked save for the scraps of blanket wrapped around his waist. The room was utterly destroyed with sink holes in the walls and furniture pulverised from what he assumed was some terrible battle that had raged on for hours. Looking back up he found the worried face of Janet Van Dyne trying to keep him awake and focussed.

“Can you hear me Thor? What’s the last thing you remember?”

“Frost… Giants… Spring… Time…”

The man was sore and bruised all over, groaning from the ache in all his muscles from hours of… Combat? He couldn't remember. Blurry vision, muffled hearing and still suffering from a concussion, Thor tried to remember what he had done, only to come up short. Then it came to him like a freight train! How a massive, oversized and overendowed She-Hulk hoisted him over her shoulder and had her way with him for… For…

“What time is it?”

“Honey, you’ve been knocked out for over 18 hours.”

“Ugh…” Collapsing back into the remains of the bed, Tigra managed to catch him and cradled his head and shoulders in her arms, petting his hair and shushing him to let him rest. “There, there, she’s gone now, you can sleep big guy.”

Outside the bedroom, Nick Fury and Iron Man stood, still shocked at the sight of one of the most powerful beings on Earth completely steamrolled over by the She-Hulk.

“This is insane, what’s gotten into her?”

“Well she’s not the only one, I got reports that Betty Ross and Lyra attacked the raft and assaulted the Gamma wing.”

Surprised at that, Stark pulled off his helmet, blinking at the notion. “What did they do?”

Pulling out a display pad and swiping past one picture after another of the damage, Nick gave the man a screwed look to his face when it showed the depowered gamma villains being comforted in blankets. Radiation Man, Zazzz, even the Abomination had been shrunk and depowered, shivering as they were each handed hot chocolate. “Let’s just say we don’t need a gamma wing to the raft anymore.”

“What the hell are those three doing? Have they gone nuts? Mad with power?”

“Maybe its jealousy?” Piped in Janet, stepping out of the ruined bedroom to join the other two. “Last I heard Jen, Betty and Lyra were having a bet to see who’s the hottest.”

Taken back, the two men shook their heads at the notion. “So… They think getting more doused in radiation will… What? Make them hotter? That’s INSANE!”

Raising her hands over her head, the Wasp shrugged. “Hey, so far they’re not wrong.”

Giving each other a look, Fury and Stark mulled over that until eventually shrugging, finding no way to argue that logic. “Wonder where they are now?”

“I don’t know, at their current strength, they could be halfway across the country by now.”

Meanwhile, at the West Valley Nuclear facility in New York…

The guard at the checkpoint station for the parking lot of the facility yawned while he played a game on his cellular phone. So far, the day had been boring, waving in an out visitors and staff for their shift. Now in the middle of the day, the man leaned back in his chair and just waited for his shift to end so he could go home.

‘Thummm…’

Perking up at the strange tremor, the guard looked around and found nothing. Promptly returning to his game.

‘Thummm… Thummm…’

Sitting up, the man looked around his station, checking the security feeds at the screens sitting at his booth, finding nothing. Then he felt the tremor again, sounding like it was getting stronger, or closer. Looking to the plastic cup of water at his desk, he watched the water inside ripple with each tiny shake of the booth.

‘Thummm… Thummm… THUMMM…’

Startled, he heard a tap at the window to his booth, turning but not looking up at the three who were at the fenced gate. “Visiting hours for the facility are over, if you have an appointment you’ll have to sign a waver to… Get…” Looking up at last, the man gawked at the three giant women looking down at him, the closest one brushing her long green hair out of her face while bending down to show off her massive chest. Smiling back at the man with fanged teeth.

“HI! Is this the nuclear facility?”

“Uhm… Yes?”

“Oh goody! Come on girls, lets get our tan on!” Standing up to her full height, Jen stomped over to the fenced gate and pulled it open with one hand, the amount of strength in the act snapping he motorized chain and crumpling the metal like tissue paper.

“Me first, I want the first try.”

“Screw you Betty, I’m going in first.”

“Beauty before age!”

Poking his head out of the window to watch the three Gammazons storm their way through the parking lot towards the power plant, the man panicked and slapped his hand on the security alarm. Darting out of his booth to fumble with his security whistle and chase after the three as they smashed through the stonework and barged their way inside.
