The Morning After

She called him the next morning rather early. Fortunately he was up.
“Thanks for last night. You were incredible.”
“You weren’t half bad yourself. How’s Ashley?”
Karen laughed, “Turned out and satisfied. I wonder if she made it to school.”
“I hope so. So you don’t feel bad about what happened?”
“What’s there to feel bad about? We had fun right?”
“Uh yeah.”
“Well I just wanted to thank you and wondered if I could see you again. I’d like a little one on one time.”
“One on one time huh? I guess we can hook up. When are you coming back to town?”
“It depends on when you want to see me. I know you big time ballers have your busy schedules and girlfriends.”
“I got to make it though this ten day contract first.”
“I have a good feeling that you will.”
She’d come down the following weekend where their one on one time was out the box. This continued to happen as he got resigned to another ten day deal and eventually for the rest of the season. They kept their relationship on the DL and Justin would eventually find out why. Karen’s last name is Lassiter as in the owner of the Atlanta Hawks. She is his bosses daughter.
