The Long Way Almost Finished

...The next few days represented the last strech of road before the final haul. The group stopped at something called 188 Trade Post, an old overpass that had been converted to a trading area. Here the party caught up on the rumor mill and Madeline learned about an organization known as the Brotherhood of Steel from a young woman named Veronica.

Madeline found the idea of the Brotherhood quite interesting. But Ringo reminded her in private that they weren't always knights in shining armor.

"The Brotherhood means well," Ringo chimed in after having dealt with a merchant at the underpass "but they tend to be a bit...fanatical. You see they think that they are basically the only guardians of technology. Best to not let them know you are from a vault if you ever meet a knight. They might end up raiding your whole vault and stripping it of every piece of pre-war tech they could get."

"I'll keep that in mind." Madeline responded a bit concerned that her home might be in danger.

"Don't worry they are mostly in hiding. I've only ever seen one or two patrols my whole life." Sunny reassured her. "Anyway--we best be going."

"Look at the bright side--only one more night on the road if we hurry and then we will all be at Vegas!" Ringo smiled as he lead the party north toward their destination.
