What Add-Ons and Expansions can We Expect?
The Legend of Tarzan Expansion
* Work in Progress, will be updated the near-future*
Jumanji loves it's jungle-themed classics and thing says more the noble savage than Tarzan. While the stroy is nearly a hundred years old, it still sparks the imaginations of many of men and women. Jumanji has recreated the characters from the original novel ‘Tarzan of the Apes’ and incorporating many characteristics and trades of each incarnations, adaptations and reimaging of the characters from the books, comics and movies.
Tarzan
Tarzan (John Clayton II, Viscount Greystoke) is a fictional character that has been made real by Jumanji, an archetypal feral child raised in the African jungle by the Mangani Gorilla Tribe; he later experiences civilization only to reject it and return to the wild as a heroic adventurer.
He appears to combination original Tarzan from Tarzan of the Apes with a heavy mix of Tarzan from Disney’s Tarzan and The Legend of Tarzan.
Tarzan is an extremely brave, loyal, and honorable character. He cares deeply about his family and friends and was willing to risk his life to save them. He's also known to be willing to rescue his enemies, if he feels they are still redeemable. this also proves that, like most heroes, he is one to spare the antagonist mistakenly.
In his youth, Tarzan was playful and fun loving but also felt like an outcast due to the fact that he was human. Until Jane Porter, her father, and Clayton arrived he had never seen another human before and was, therefore, unaware of what species he was. And as an adult, he had matured into a more serious character but still displayed a playful and friendly side when around his family and friends. Tarzan was also very curious and when he heard a gunshot he went to investigate while the rest of his family moved deeper into the jungle. It was because of his curious nature that he met Jane, Professor Porter, and Clayton.
Tarzan's brown hair is styled in long dreadlocks. He wears almost no clothes; the only piece of clothing he wears is a tattered, brown loincloth around his waist, and he is also barefoot. He wears his father's clothes once when he decides to go to England with Jane and Clayton. His eyes are blue-green in color and his muscular body is tanned from living in the jungle all his life.
Having lived in the jungle his whole life, Tarzan developed exceptional abilities that would be impossible for other humans. He was able to swing through the trees, slide across branches, hold things with his feet, and had a good sense of hearing and smell that excelled many human beings. He was an incredible fighter, being able to hold his own against some of the jungles deadliest predators. Tarzan has been known to fight and win from leopards, hyenas, gorillas, baboons, hippos, rhinoceros, snakes, crocodiles, elephants, jackals, and dinosaurs. One of Tarzan's most notable accomplishments was when he managed to hold his own against Sabor, a ferocious and powerful leopard who had killed his parents many years earlier and killed her. Tarzan often fought with a spear but would also commonly use his bare hands to defeat his opponents. He is also incredibly strong; this is seen when he pins down Kerchak and lifts at least two fully grown humans at the same time without any apparent effort. Another remarkable ability is his cleverness, as a child, he made and used simple tools and weapons (a spear, a lasso, a sling) that other children his age can learn to make only when under the supervision of an adult. Because he knew no humans in his youth, it can be speculated that he taught himself through trial and error.
William Cecil Clayton
William Cecil Clayton is a fictional character that has been made real by Jumanji, a veteran hunter and guide, he served as a guide for Jane and her father Archimedes Q. Porter on an expedition to Africa in search for gorillas, but his secret agenda was to use the trip as a means to hunt gorillas in order to sell them on the black market.
He appears to combination original William Cecil Clayton from Tarzan of the Apes/The Return of Tarzan with a heavy mix of Clayton from Disney’s Tarzan. Which means that he a William and Tarzan are both cousins, with William being Tarzan's older cousin given his appearance and age between his forties to fifties.
Clayton initially appeared to be a chivalrous gentleman, albeit with a fragile temper and intolerance for treating the African expedition as a vacation experience, rather than a business endeavor, as the Porters were often sidetracked by sights and wildlife other than the gorillas. He has also shown a hint of hatred toward animals, and ignorance in terms of understanding them, believing gorillas to be savage beasts, in spite of Professor Porter's hypothesis that gorillas are generally social creatures. This also ties to Clayton's slight paranoia of the jungle, as he was shown to be overly protective of himself, as well as trigger-happy, blasting his gun the second he suspects that an animal, other than a gorilla, may be nearby.
However when Clayton's patience with other people wanes thin, his true nature begins to unfold; one that is vicious, abusive, and conniving. He also never shown any signs of cowardice. When he is cornered with his own gun, he is far from begging for his life and even mocks those who pointing his gun at him to pull the trigger. Armed with a Double-Barreled Rifle that fires big bullets capable of putting down any animal, including gorillas and elephants, and a Machete that used for more than cutting down jungle leaves and vines.
