Chapter 11 by CMW CMW

Who wants to spend time with the little seer next?

The Lady of the Night

Once I was nice and clean, Lillian laid down on the bed. Celeste took my hands to show me the scrubbing technique. It was difficult but I felt motivated to try my best. Lillian worshiped the goddess of beauty and right now I just wanted to do my best to help her look her best.

I looked at Celeste who smiled as I kept trying and looking at Lillian with her eyes closed as she just enjoyed the moment brought a my own lips to a curl. I truly felt like I belonged. “You are such a wonderful sister Lillian.”

Without opening her eyes she raised her hand to caress my face. “So are you Rosemary. I am so happy you joined us.”

I blushed at her touch.

When Lillian was nice and clean Celeste prompted us to leave but that felt wrong to me. “Is it not your turn head maid?”

Her eyes seemed to plead that she could bathe later but I recognized those eyes. The ones always putting others first. Saving herself for last. She probably wanted to check on the other girls and ensure nothing had happened during her time here.

“Sister Rosemary, you shouldn’t pressure the head maid,” Lillian said as she stood up.

“Please head maid. Let me try out my scrubbing on you,” I said. I had a feeling this would be her weakness. She’d relent for the sake of helping me.

She looked at me in the eyes but then blinked and laid down on the bed. “Okay. Please be quick though.”

I whispered into Lillian’s ear. “Please give her the same prayer you gave me.”

Lillian gave me a thumbs up as she blinked and began lathering up Celeste’s legs with soap. I began myself but not with her hair. I went for her shoulders. I wanted to try and relieve some tension while I was at this.

As Lillian began licking Celeste, I reached in and kissed her nipple. Celeste moaned and arched her back. “No fair. I asked you to be… oh gosh. To be… oh… oh.”

I nuzzled her neck. “Turnabout is fair play dear sister.”

After what looked to be her third orgasm, we stopped teasing her and resumed bathing her properly. I think Lillian was just as scared as I was to take things to far or rather to long. The last thing we needed was for the head maid to be upset with us. Once she was on her feet we all got dressed.

Celeste cracked her neck. “Not bad sisters. I approve. But I must go check on things. Please enjoy the remaining of the evening before dinner.”

We exchanged curtsies before she was gone. I was wondering what to do when my belly rumbled a bit. I guess I hadn’t eaten in a while. Dinner wasn’t too far from now but a light snack would probably be fine.

“Want to accompany me to the lunch room?” I asked Lillian.

She shook her head. “I’d rather return to my quarters for the time being. I wish to prepare my notes for my meeting with Master. But I thank you for the invite sister.”

She gave a curtsy and I returned one before she left. Private quarters? So we did get a private place? Nice. When we all slept in the same room, I was beginning to doubt it.

I made my way to where Marianne was cooking this morning. I noticed she had a sign next to an hour glass. It read “kitchen closes when the sand runs out.”

Ah. I guess she probably started preparing dinner at that point. Looking at the sand, I had plenty of time. I took some paper and wrote down my request for a sandwich. I attached the paper to a hook that was constantly moving. It wouldn’t take long for it to reach her. It almost felt impersonal to order this way but she didn’t seem to mind when the notes came in earlier.

The sandwich came sliding down a track and landed in front me me. I took a bite and smiled. It was so tasty! I could taste the love Marianne had for us.

“Oh, what a coincidence. I was hoping to run across you.”

I turned and saw the Lady of the Night. I bowed. “How may I assist you?”

She wrote a slip of her own before turning to me. “I want to share a cup of tea with you.”

“Yes my Lady,” I said as I finished the last bit of my sandwich.

She sat down next to me. “I heard from Iris about your anti charm potion. Do you think we are charmed?”

I paused for a moment. I been so distracted I hadn’t thought about that in a bit. “Yes.”

She smiled. “It’s nice to not be the only one to notice that now. Were you trying to break free?”

“I don’t know,” I said. “It is like my mind is in a fog.”

“I know what you mean,” she said as she picked up the teapot that came down and poured a glass for each of us.

“It makes sense right? If we are charmed. Anti charm. Just like if we are poisoned. Anti poison. I need to think in simple direct terms to not be influenced by the charm.”

She took a sip. “Anti poison. They call that an antidote. It is a fair train of logic, but overly simplistic. I mean if you were under the effect of regenerate, you wouldn’t take an anti regenerate potion would you?”

“That’s fair, but-”

“Do you dislike it here?” she asked.

I shook my head. “It’s wonderful here.”

“Then it is logical to stay?” she asked.

“Yeah,” I said. I couldn’t help feeling a certain nagging feeling in the back of my stomach. But she was right. “Not like I can make an anti charm potion anyhow.”

“Hmm? What do you mean?” she asked.

“I need Master’s permission.”

She let out a hearty laugh and hugged me. “Seems I worried over nothing.” Her glasses fell to the table and looking I noticed that the hinge detached at the base. She picked it up and began fiddling with it.

“Those glasses look old,” I said.

“They are. I got them a few years before I came here and that was five years ago,” she said.

“Has Master been unwilling to approve you getting a new pair?” I asked.

She shook her head. “I hadn’t asked. I wouldn’t want to bother Master over something that just concerns me.”

I sipped my tea. “Can I ask, what was your life like before here?”

She smiled. “I was a librarian in the grand archive in the capital.”

Oh. I knew that library. It was the biggest one in the country. “Don’t you miss that?” I asked. She was the only girl aware that the charm took her from that. I really wanted her opinion.

“Sometimes,” she said. “Part of our curse Rosemary is that our intelligence makes it harder for us to just bask in this. But I was thinking about that a lot today. At the archive, I was alone. No friends. No family. I read books and boy was the archive a nice library. But, the library here isn’t bad. I want to make it better too. I have my sisters too! And Master. This life is way more fulfilling than my old one.”

I could see what she meant. She wasn’t just coping or excusing away the charm. She might have been doing that to some level but I think she also genuinely meant what she said.

She walked over to me. “Hug me.”

“Yes my Lady,” I said as I hugged her.

“More than anything right now I am so happy you are here. Someone that can tell me about magic. Someone that understands we are charmed. Someone who might genuinely wanna see me in the library. Thank you so much sister seer.”

I held her tighter. “I am ever so grateful for your kind words my Lady.”

On some level I was mixed. Her joy from this felt like this place hadn’t been as special as I thought. But on another level. Her joy was so infectious. How could I not feel happy to see my sister so happy. For now, I decided to try and not think about it and just enjoy the hug that the Lady of the Night had asked for.

How does dinner go?
